Chapter 1159
“Then why are people talking?”
Honoria sounded deeply skeptical.
Suzie frowned. “It could just be a student catching a ride with a professor.”
“Sure, we’ve had guys here who play around with students, but I don’t see Norris ever doing that.”
Seeing Suzie so absolutely certain only deepened Honoria’s doubts.
“Maybe. But why are you so sure he wouldn’t?”
“He’s just a man. Does he not have normal urges and desires?”
She had her sights set on Norris, so naturally, she hoped he didn’t have some young college girlfriend stashed away.
But she couldn’t tell if Suzie’s defense was actually reliable.
She had trusted her own eyes just moments ago.
Furthermore, the girl who got into his car was currently the most talked-about person on campus; Honoria had recognized her instantly.
“Norris is like a saint. He is strictly professional. In the years he’s been here, he’s rejected more confessions from faculty and students than I can count on both hands.”
“He turned down every single one of them.”
“He said he doesn’t want to date within the faculty, and he definitely won’t date a student.”
Suzie actually admired the man. Some of the most popular girls on campus had poured their hearts out to him.
Some had even waited until after graduation, stubbornly hoping for a chance.
Once they graduated, they weren’t students anymore, right?
And yet, he still turned them down flat.
“Overall, he is a man of high moral standards, completely out of everyone’s league.”
“Besides, did you see the car he drives?”
“He just got a brand new one this year.”
“He must be incredibly rich. He gets a new car every single year.”
It wasn’t that Norris was eager to blow cash on vehicles, but rather that The Churchill family had money to burn.
They bought him a new car annually, and there was absolutely nothing he could do to stop them.
His latest ride was a brand new EV. He figured it was practical for his daily commute and saved on gas.
To anyone else, a Churchill talking about saving money sounded like an out-of-touch joke.
But Norris genuinely preferred driving electric over gas, so he made the switch.
“A man like him is basically every woman’s dream.”
“But dreams are usually completely unrealistic.”
Suzie’s assessment was brutally honest.
What woman didn’t dream of romance?
When she first started working here, she had a massive crush on Norris, too.
But it was more like distant admiration.
She knew he was entirely out of reach, so what was the harm in looking?
Looking was fine, but actually trying to pursue him?
Suzie didn’t have the time or the energy for that.
Why bother when she knew she had zero chance?
She chose to focus on her career instead!
Honoria fell silent.
It might be unrealistic for other people, but that didn’t mean it was unrealistic for her. Inside the car, Claire mumbled under her breath, “I bet someone definitely saw us.” “Norris, you need to drive yourself home next time. I’ll take my own car.”
Norris reached over and flicked her forehead. “What’s wrong with me driving you?”
Claire grinned. “I just don’t want
anyone to see us and start ret
that I’m trying to seduce the
heartthrob.”
Plenty of people on campus practically worshipped the ground Norris walked on.
“You haven’t exactly been keeping a
low profile lately,” Norris remarked, thinking of the
umors about 19
second cafeteria tray incident.
He hadn’t witnessed it himself, but he knew it was likely true.
He genuinely couldn’t understand why his sister resorted to such messy tactics.
The greasy food splattered across the cafeteria floor made his skin crawl.
Then again, dumping grease on
someone’s head was probably anet some spase
effective way to knock
into them.
