Once Claire thought it through, she dropped the matter completely.

The dinner Valerie Winthrop had invited her to was pushed to this Saturday.

To Claire’s surprise, Norris and Professor Warner both accepted the invitation.

It wasn’t until the evening of the dinner that she learned why they had agreed.

“Mr. Winthrop extended the invitation personally,” Professor Warner whispered to Claire.
