Chapter 1802
[ 625 words ]
“After all, he never did anything to wrong you.”
Bianca’s face turned deathly pale. How was that possible?
Why would he go abroad at a time like this?
Was it because he was heartbroken and left to clear his head?
“Why did he leave?”
Claire wasn’t in the mood to coddle a fragile heart.
Bianca had brought this entirely upon herself.
“Because he’s had the opportunity to go abroad for a while. He only put it off for your sake.”
“Now that you’re out of the picture, he has nothing holding him back, right?”
Bianca looked as if she had been struck by lightning.
So that was why he had been hesitating about going overseas. No wonder he had asked if she wanted to wait until their careers were stable before getting married.
Or perhaps he would buy a house and tie the knot first, then wait a few years for kids.
It turned out he had received a chance for a promotion and a raise.
But why hadn’t he told her?
If he had told her sooner, she never would have…
But Bianca couldn’t bring herself to say the words out loud.
She had been drifting away for a while. Once she started grad school, she noticed
many girls getting all sorts of perks just by dating the right guys.
Girls who weren’t even as pretty as her were living far better lives.
What was she supposed to do?
Faced with so many temptations, who could resist?
“Do you have his contact info?”
Bianca still hadn’t given up.
Claire was practically speechless.
“No. I only heard about this from Dane.”
“Even if I did, why would I give it to you?”
“Surely you don’t think you can crawl back to him after cheating and having a miscarriage?”
“He’s a great guy, but he’s not a complete fool.”
Claire showed zero mercy, tearing right through Bianca’s delusions.
Bianca fell silent. She finally realized she wasn’t going to wring a single drop of sympathy out of Claire.
Because this woman stood far above her and would never relate to her struggles.
“Sorry to bother you,” Bianca muttered, leaving with her tail tucked between her legs.
She was smart enough not to throw a tantrum.
Perhaps it was because she remembered Dane. He had nearly made it impossible for her to stay in school before.
If she dared to offend his fiancée, the consequences would be catastrophic.
“Please pretend I never came to see you today. Is that okay?”
It took a moment for Claire to realize Bianca was afraid she would tattle.
Claire scoffed internally. “Don’t worry, I won’t say a word.”
It was her way of confirming her ex wouldn’t find out either.
If he didn’t know how horribly Bianca had been played, he wouldn’t soften his heart toward her.
A flicker crossed Bianca’s eyes. She hadn’t expected Claire to be this sharp.
It made sense she was Dane’s fiancée-she was undeniably a step ahead.
“Thank you,” Bianca managed to say.
After she left, Claire prepared to head back to campus.
Quentin Young had already left the country with Queenie.
Claire had only come over to check on her two patients.
Silas Carl was recovering remarkably well, and Lucas Charles’s body was also adjusting through her treatments.
Once she finished, she drove back to the university.
Meanwhile, Bianca packed her things and went to handle her discharge papers.
She had originally hoped her ex

play the victim and beg for reconciliation.
Who knew he wasn’t even in the country? What was the point of staying in the
hospital and wasting money?

It was

humiliation she couldn’t stomach.
What Bianca didn’t know was that her relationship with her ex was well known
among some students and teachers.
Inevitably, people were going to pay attention.
