Chapter 1893
“Owen!”
Seraphina had arrived.
Claire looked her up and down; she looked like a wreck.
Probably due to the alcohol, she was still clearly struggling to stay lucid.
The moment she walked in, Owen’s expression dropped by another three degrees.
When it came to this girl-the first love he had genuinely poured his heart into— Owen’s feelings had entirely frozen over.
“If you’re here to beg me to let your sister off the hook, save your breath.”
“I will never agree to it.”
“Before she dragged you over here to play the martyr, did you even ask what she actually did?”
Seraphina looked deeply ashamed. “No, but no matter what Jocelyn did, she’s still my sister.”
“Couldn’t you—”
Before she could even finish, Owen cut her off. “No.”
Seraphina froze. She probably hadn’t realized that the special privileges she used to hold with Owen had completely evaporated.
“Seraphina, do you have any idea that your sister deliberately tried to frame my brother for sexual assault?” Claire couldn’t hold her tongue any longer.
Was this woman a complete idiot?
She clearly loved Owen, yet she repeatedly pushed him toward her sister.
Was she trying to be some sort of saint? Did she honestly think men were meant to be shared between siblings?
Owen clearly despised the dynamic.
How could she be so blind to that?
“How… how is that possible?” Seraphina stared at her sister in utter shock.
Claire elaborated without mercy. “She physically forced my brother’s hands onto her own chest.”
“Her malicious setup didn’t just ruin my brother’s personal reputation, it severely damaged his company.”
“If the internet kept dragging his name through the mud, it would have impacted our entire family…”
“I’m sure you and your sister are well aware of exactly who the Churchill family is and what we do.”
“Do you honestly believe a casual apology is enough to erase what she did?”
“I’m half-convinced the two of you took money from a rival company to deliberately sabotage my brother.”
Claire’s words were sharp, clear, and devastatingly logical, Seraphina was forced to tarn a deeply suspicious glare onto her own sister.
“Jocelyn, what exactly did you do?” Jocelyn had texted their mother begging
for a rescue, but she hadn’t
given the full story
Seraphina genuinely had no idea what had transpired.
“I…” Jocelyn stared at the floor. “I’m sorry, Seraphina. I just wasn’t thinking straight…”
She sobbed and stammered, unable to form a coherent sentence, but Seraphina slowly pieced the nightmare together.
“Jocelyn, why would you do something like this? Are you insane?”
“You know perfectly well—” Owen was someone they absolutely could not afford to cross.
How dare she?
What exactly was going through her head?
Even back when Owen had actually liked her, Seraphina hadn’t dared to cross any boundaries with him.
And now, Jocelyn had the sheer audacity to frame him, using such a pathetic, sloppy method.
“Yes! I know you love him, but I love the exact same man!”
“
“Seraphina, since we were kids, haven’t you always given me everything I wanted?”
“So why couldn’t you just give Owen to me?”
No one else in the room had the patience to listen to these sisters fight over a man.
Every eye was fixed on Owen, waiting for him to drop the hammer.
The situation was crystal clear now Aside from desperately seeking a rich scapegoat for her baby, Jocelyn was also trying to steal her, ster S love interest.
This whole fiasco was nothing more than a trashy, pointless domestic dispute.
Phoebe felt a surge of rage, realizing these people were completely wasting police
resources.
Did they think the precinct officers had nothing better to do?
They were spending their entire day babysitting trivial soap opera drama!
“What do you want to do, Mr. Churchill?”
“If you wish to press charges, we will process the paperwork immediately!”
