Chapter 51
Chapter 51:
She chuckled softly, trying to hide the heaviness in her heart. She looked away and lied, “I just read somewhere p>
The next day, Ava woke up early to go to university. The fact that she had successfully persuaded her mother the night before made her feel a sense of relief and happiness. At first, her mother had been concerned about what others would say. But Ava explained that by marrying Harper, her mother could regain a father’s name. Even though Ava deeply loved her father, she understood that for her mother to find happiness, she would have to accept Harper as her new father. Ava quickly took a shower and got ready in a hurry. She left the house without eating breakfast, telling her mother she needed to take care of some work outside.
“I need to talk to Stephen. He’s also concerned about his father,†she thought to herself as she left.
When Ava arrived at university, her friends immediately noticed her. Luke gave her a puzzled look.
“What am I hearing? Did you go somewhere with Stephen yesterday? Is he blackmailing you for something p>
Ava was taken aback by his words. “What are you talking about, Luke p>
“One of my friends saw you going with him p>
Debra was staring at her, while Abigail was nowhere in sight. Ava shook her head, realizing they were misunderstanding the situation.
“I need to talk to all of you. Where’s Abigail? Let’s find her and sit together p>
They nodded and headed to the cafeteria together.
Luke called Abigail, who reported that she was on her way to the university. They waited for her to arrive. While they did, Luke and Debra kept observing Ava, studying her face.
“Relax, guys. Everything is fine,†Ava reassured them.
After a short time, Abigail arrived and joined them. Once seated at their table, she asked, “Spill the beans p>
Ava took a deep breath and looked at the three of them.

“You’re all my friends, so I think I really need to share this with you.†She then told them everything: how her father had passed away and how her mother brought her to the pack. She shared the story of her mother’s mate and why it had taken her so long to accept him.
After explaining everything, Ava quickly glanced at their faces, expecting them to judge her or her mother. But instead, Abigail and Debra stood up and gave her a hug.
“We didn’t know you had to go through so much at such a young age,†Abigail said.
Ava smiled sadly at them. She had indeed witnessed her father’s death at a young age, a trauma that haunted her. It was the worst nightmare she had ever experienced, and she often relived it in her dreams.
“So your mother is going to marry Stephen’s father?†Luke asked.
Ava gave him a slight nod. “All I can say is that I hope so. I’ve done my best to convince her. I know she also wants to be with her mate, but she overthinks what people might say p>
“Hey! Why overthink it so much? My aunt just got married at 45. She says love has no bounds or age,†Abigail said, sitting down in her chair. Debra also took a seat beside her.
Ava looked at them and said, “Thanks, guys p>
“For what?†Debra asked.
