Chapter 152
Chapter 152:
Ava covered her mouth as Ian twisted the blade still embedded in the boy’s skin.
Her vision blurred; she was unaccustomed to witnessing such violence.
Ian raised his head, his gaze locking with hers. She blinked, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Turning away from him, she ran to Stephen.
Stephen wrapped her in a comforting hug and asked, “Are you okay p>
She nodded while hugging him. Right now, all she wanted was someone to hold her and tell her everything was going to be okay. She wished it was all just a nightmare, so when she woke up, she wouldn’t remember any of it.
Stephen stroked her hair gently and said, “No one will hurt you now. Don’t worry p>
She slowly opened her eyes and glanced at the boy still groaning in pain on the ground.
Paul spoke as he walked toward the gate, “I’m sending men to clear this up p>
Cyrus looked at Ian and asked, “What are we going to do with them? Pack hospital or p>
Ian cut him off. “Send them back to their Thunder Howl Pack p>
Ava broke from Stephen’s hug and looked at him. “Thunder Howl Pack p>
Stephen met her gaze and replied, “They belong to Thunder Howl Pack. Our relationship with their Alpha and officials is… not good p>
Ava tried to recall the name of the pack. It sounded familiar — she had heard about them before. Their Alpha ascended the throne at a young age. She glanced at Ian, who looked gloomy.
“No need to know much about that pack. We’re never going to make any deals with them anyway,†he said, directing his words at Ava.
After a few minutes, Paul returned with some men to escort the captured boys back to their pack.
Ava stared at the blood staining the ground, feeling dazed. Her mother had always shielded her from this kind of world. She had never been in a situation like this before.

Stephen raised his hand and placed it gently on her head. “Lil sis, don’t worry. Just forget about all this, okay p>
Something was about to come to Ava’s mind, but she paused when Cyrus said to Stephen, “Your hand is bleeding, dude. We should get you to the pack hospital p>
Ava noticed Stephen’s wrists were bloody from the rope that had been tied around them.
“I’m coming with you,†she said, ready to go with him.
Stephen shook his head. “No, Ava. You should go back to our house. I’ll be fine and will return home safely. I have some other work to do.†Glancing at Ronald, he added, “I need your help with something. Drive her to my house p>
Ronald looked at Ava, then replied, “Sure. Why not p>
Ava wanted to refuse, but she understood Stephen might have urgent business, so she stayed silent.
Stephen left with Cyrus, and Paul left with the men escorting the captured boys.
Only Ava, Ronald, and Ian remained.
Ian walked out without turning to face either Ronald or Ava.
