“Ian, I’m glad you came to the party,” Stephen said, breaking his train of thought.

Stephen had been avoiding him ever since Ian tried to talk to him. Ian was still irritated with him. Why was he getting closer to Ava?

“Tell us the truth. Who changed her in just a few hours?” Ronald asked Stephen, a hint of amusement in his voice.

“I told her she needed a makeover,” Stephen replied.

Ian scoffed when he heard this. “A makeover? That can’t change her nerdy character p>

Stephen frowned at him. “Why would I want to change her character? She’s a pure soul. I think she should never change who she is p>

Ian rolled his eyes. What had this girl done to his friend? Stephen had never spoken about another girl like this before.

“Is what Nova said about Ava true? Is she really a girl who craves attention from men?” Ian thought while watching Ava dance with Luke.

She no longer looked like the nerd she had been earlier that day.

“Enjoy the party, everyone. I’ll be back in a few minutes,” Stephen excused himself and made his way toward Ava.

He patted Luke on the shoulder and leaned in to speak in his ear, “Can I dance with her p>

Luke hesitated for a moment, feeling awkward about leaving Ava alone with him. But then he remembered what Ava had told him earlier about her mother. He nodded and gave Stephen permission to dance with her. Ava smiled at Stephen as he approached her.

“Are you enjoying yourself?” he asked, his voice raised to be heard over the loud music.

“Yes,” Ava replied, moving her legs to the rhythm.

Ava glanced at her friends, who gave her the signal to go with Stephen. She followed him to the bar. Stephen ordered two drinks. When the bartender set the drinks down on the counter, Stephen handed one to Ava.

“So, what’s your plan?” Stephen asked.

Ava exhaled deeply, still catching her breath from their long dance session. She placed her hand on her hip and took a few deep breaths to steady herself. Noticing that Stephen had offered her a glass of beer, she took a sip to soothe her throat.

“First, tell me about Alpha and Luna’s proposal,” Ava replied.

“Alpha and Luna want them to marry as soon as possible. There’s no point in delaying,” Stephen explained.

“Does your dad know about my mom’s decision p>

“I haven’t told him yet. Maybe your mom did p>

“That’s good,” Ava responded, feeling a bit relieved.

“How about planning their wedding for next week?” Stephen asked, his tone serious.

“Next week? Isn’t that too soon p>

“No, Ava. My dad is sick. I want his health to improve as quickly as possible. I’ll talk to Alpha Martin about it. It will be a small, private wedding, just our families. But after the wedding, Alpha Martin will announce that you and your mom have officially joined the Gamma family p>
