“Stop playing with me p>
“S-sorry p>
Ian leaned down, looking into her eyes.
“I only know and love one girl, who is my girlfriend right now. I trust her blindly, and no one can change my mind. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you’ll avoid death at my hands p>
He pushed her jaw away harshly and stepped back. Nova’s eyes turned glossy. She regretted her decision to come and meet Ian.
Ian grabbed his car keys from the desk and left the pack house in a bad mood.

“Robin, I thought you were brave. That’s why we became friends, remember p>

She closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the seat.
She couldn’t help but wonder what could have happened to ruin Ian’s mood.
‘Did he have an argument with his dad p>
‘Did he have a hard day p>
As the cab neared her house, she sat up straight and looked out the window.
She frowned when she saw a familiar car parked outside her house.
“Stop the car,†she told the cab driver.
The driver abruptly stopped. She paid him and got out.
As soon as she turned to look at the familiar car, her eyes landed on the boy leaning against it.
