Chapter 138
Chapter 138:
Looking up, he saw Ian’s angry expression.
“Why did you pretend to laugh? You faked it. You could’ve just told her the truth,†Ronald said.
Hearing this, Ian glared at him.
“Ronald Rolace, stop spying on me p>
“Spying?†Ronald scoffed.
Ian rushed over and grabbed Ronald by the collar.
“Tell me, did my dad ask you to keep an eye on me? Why are you always around, taunting and mocking me p>
Ronald just chuckled.
“You’re my best friend. Isn’t it my job to keep an eye on you p>
Ian released his collar.
“I don’t know why, but I’m losing my mind right now p>
Ronald exhaled and stubbed out his cigarette on the counter.
“You need to listen to your heart. Are you afraid of what you’re feeling? Be honest, Ian. Stop ignoring it p>
Ian shook his head.
“There’s nothing in my heart p>
Ronald placed his hands on Ian’s shoulders.
“You know you’ve ruined everything, but you’re Ian Dawson. Nothing slips through your fingers if you truly want to keep it. Just listen to your heart and accept what you want. Don’t fight it. You stopped sleeping around, something no one thought you could do. You broke up with your so-called perfect girlfriend for Luna’s position. For whom? Ask your heart, and you’ll find the answer p>
Ian left the kitchen and walked into the living room. He glanced upward, looking for Ava and Luke, but the space was empty.
“Where is your sister?†he asked Stephen.
“She just left with Luke,†Stephen replied.
Ian glared at him.
“You should pay more attention to where she’s going and with whom. You say you care about her, but is this how you show it? Didn’t you notice the way that Luke guy was looking at her p>
Everyone in the room was surprised by Ian’s words. Ronald entered the living room, having overheard the conversation.
Stephen stepped closer to Ian and said,
“I’m not going to stop her from living her life. I think she likes him, too. We saw it when you beat that boy on campus—she cried as if she’d been in love with him for a long time, like he meant a lot to her p>
Stephen’s words ignited something inside Ian.
“I won’t let her be with that boy,†Ian declared.
No one looked surprised; they had already sensed what Ian was feeling.
Stephen sighed in frustration.
“Look, Ian, I know she’s your ex-mate, but you can’t control her life. You’re my friend, which is why I’m talking to you calmly. You need to stop bothering her and let her move on. You’re the one who rejected her. Don’t ruin her life—she never deserved that p>
