Chapter 272
Chapter 272:
A smile appeared on her face. She bit her lower lip, trying to suppress it.
“So he’s going to stay here for a while?†she murmured.
She could hardly believe they would be living under the same roof.
Her heart was filled with the same wild feelings she had for him in the past. She yearned to spend more time with him, to admire him. There was a hidden desire in her heart to always be by his side.
She refreshed herself and changed into comfortable, baggy clothes since she was at home.
While combing her hair and thinking about Ian, someone knocked on the door.
“Young Miss, come downstairs for dinner. Young master is calling you,†she heard a maid’s voice.
She shouted while looking at herself in the mirror,
“I’m coming p>
She took one last look at herself before leaving her room.
Descending the stairs, she searched for everyone. When she reached the dining table, she saw everyone except Ian was there.
She walked leisurely to the table and took a seat near Stephen.
He smiled at her and said,
“Let’s eat p>
Ava glanced around, her eyes searching for the boy she wanted to see so much.
‘Where is he?’ she wondered.
Ronald looked at Ava, which she noticed, and she lowered her head.
“Don’t be shy, dear. We’re all Ian’s friends, including your newly found brother p>
Ava looked at Ronald and replied,
“No, I was just p>
She paused as Ian entered the dining area, holding his phone to his ear.
“I’ll talk to you later, Mom p>
He hung up and looked at everyone sitting at the table.
Ava caught his gaze. She then heard Stephen’s voice,
“My sister was looking for you p>
Everyone laughed while Ava tried to hide her face.
Ian took the chair across from her and sat down.
“That’s good. She should always be looking for me,†Ian said with a smirk.
Ava felt trapped among these bad boys. They would not let her live the next few days without teasing her.
She thought about apologizing for what she had done. Clearing her throat, she said,
“I am sorry, everyone. Because of my foolishness, you all had to lose the game. I feel guilty about it. I don’t know if you can forgive me, but please accept my apology p>
Her calm tone showed how truly upset she was. Everyone fell silent after her apology. Ava glanced around, worried she had ruined the mood by bringing up the topic.
However, when her eyes met Ian’s, he gave her an assuring look.
“It’s okay. Let bygones be bygones. Everyone knows we are the real winners, anyway,†Ronald said, shrugging his shoulders.
