Chapter 276
Chapter 276:
“Nicely done,” Cristian responded. “Tomorrow, I’ll have someone at the airport to keep tabs on them. I’ll also arrange for surveillance in the destination country to ensure Ava doesn’t cause you any more trouble p>
Fernanda’s mouth twisted into a slight smile. “I’ll be at the airport tomorrow as well p>
She wanted to personally witness Ava’s departure.
Ava’s flight was set for 10 a.m., and Fernanda arrived at the airport terminal by 9.
She was accompanied by Soren and a few of his crew.
“They haven’t arrived yet,” Soren said. “We’ve had eyes here since the crack of dawn. No sign of them yet p>
Just ten minutes later, Ava showed up.
Hunk and Joselyn were there to see her off, managing several big suitcases.
The three of them proceeded directly to the check-in counter.
Ava was wearing large sunglasses, which she only removed when approaching the security checkpoint.
She embraced Hunk and Joselyn tightly, her eyes puffy and red from an apparent night of tears.
Once again, tears rolled down Ava’s cheeks.
She was clearly frightened by the prospect of spending the next few years in a strange country.
Watching Ava dissolve into tears, Joselyn’s heart shattered.
“Mom, I don’t want to go,” Ava cried out.
Joselyn couldn’t find the words to reply; she just cried quietly next to her daughter.
Hunk didn’t shed tears, but the profound sadness in his eyes as he watched Ava was clear.
Your imagination thrives at puntocom
The previous night, Joselyn had revealed to Hunk that she had secretly given Fernanda one percent of the company’s shares.
Hunk had been furious.
To compound the issue, Cristian had personally called him later that evening to talk about the project.
Cristian’s conversation was laced with thinly veiled threats. If Ava didn’t depart, Ross Group would be completely shut out from the project contract.
Faced with no other choice and amid Ava’s agonizing sobs, they instructed the servants to pack her bags throughout the night.
Initially, they had toyed with the idea of finding a workaround to keep Ava safe without truly sending her away. However, given the circumstances, Hunk no longer felt confident in such plans. He couldn’t risk the welfare of his business.
For Hunk, his business took priority, with family coming in a close second.
Cristian’s personal phone call made it obvious that he was keeping a close watch on Ava. Hunk understood well enough not to attempt anything while Cristian was paying such close attention.
As the time to pass through the security checkpoint neared, Ava remained rooted in place, crying uncontrollably.
