Chapter 175
Chapter 175:
“I don’t know,” Fernanda replied, crossing her arms and looking at Waldo coolly. “You’re not going to do any more work. From now on, you’re fired p>
Waldo’s brow furrowed immediately. “What are you talking about p>
Fernanda grabbed a termination contract from a nearby table and slammed it down in front of him. “Sign it, then pack up your things and leave p>
Waldo burst into laughter, as if he had just heard something completely ridiculous. “Fire me? On what grounds p>
Fernanda looked him in the eye and replied calmly, “Because I’m the general manager of Bright Lights Media now.” She pointed to the badge on her chest that clearly displayed her title.
“Now, you have two options,” she continued. “You can leave on your own, or I can have security escort you out. It’s up to you.” With a small gesture, she tapped her knuckle against the contract in front of him. “Make sure to sign it. Don’t make this any harder than it needs to be p>
Once Fernanda delivered her final words, she turned on her heel and walked away without a backward glance.
Back in the office, everyone exchanged glances, struggling to conceal their delight and muffled laughter.
They were amazed at how effortlessly Fernanda had handled Waldo, leaving them all in awe.
Was this real, or were they dreaming?
Someone couldn’t hold back a laugh, and soon the entire office followed suit, their laughter spilling out like water from a burst dam. Two coworkers, particularly those who had been frequent targets of Waldo’s sharp tongue, even exchanged high-fives in celebration.
“What’s so funny?” Waldo barked, his face flushing with anger.

Normally, his temper would have silenced the office immediately. As the head of the news feed team, he was skilled at currying favor with the higher-ups and wielded significant influence in the company.
But today, no one cared. If anything, their laughter grew louder. Snorting in frustration, Waldo kicked a chair and stomped off to Rosita’s office.
Meanwhile, Rosita, fully expecting his outburst, was already seated at her desk, arms crossed, waiting for the inevitable confrontation. As soon as Waldo barged in, he slammed the termination contract Fernanda had handed him onto the desk with a sharp thud. His face was red with anger as he sputtered, “Ms. Nelson, would you take a look at this? Fernanda is going too far p>
“I know exactly what it is,” Rosita responded coolly, not bothering to look at the document.
“If you knew this was coming, why didn’t you do something to stop her? Why did you just sit back and let her pull this off like it’s no big deal?” Waldo snapped.
