“Aunt Carmen!” Ingrid was on the verge of tears.
“Please, Ingrid. Call Ned again. I don’t care if you beg him or cry to him. As long as you get Ned to inject funds into us!” Carmen begged as she grabbed Ingrid’s hand.
Ingrid pushed Carmen’s hand away and said, “I’m sorry, Aunt Carmen. I’m not going to beg Ned again. If you think Ned is trying to scare you, so be it! Keep denying Eastern Pharmaceutical from entering the factory!
“I’ll pay all of Uncle Henry’s medical expenses. You’re on your own for the rest of it. I’ve done all I can for the Yates family.”
Ingrid turned around and left.
“Ingie! Wait, Ingie!” Carmen called for Ingrid, but that didn’t stop her. “That ingrate!”
While Carmen still denied Eastern Pharmaceutical from entering Yates Group’s factory, Ned had already given up on them.
Ned wasn’t the kind of person who would use a petty trick like intimidation.
Ned had given Yates Group to make it up. If they didn’t appreciate it, he still had other choices than Yates Group.
Eastern Pharmaceutical agreed to collaborate by injecting funds into Fletcher Corporation. All Fletcher Corporation had to do was to have the staff work overtime and give them higher pay. Although this increased the cost, at least they were no longer subjected to others.
For the rest of the projects with Vitality Biotech Group in the future, Fletcher Corporation would no longer involve Yates Group. Instead, they would share the profit with Eastern Pharmaceutical to ensure they could deliver their promise smoothly.
Angeline had received this news and jeered, “Here I thought how far Ned would go to save Tommy and the Yates family for Ingrid. I can’t believe he would give up on them that quickly!”
Ned would cover for Tommy no matter what the latter did in the past. All because Tommy brought no harm to his interest.

Angeline wondered how both Ned and Ingrid felt at the moment.

“And when the project finishes smoothly, he’ll give everyone in the factory a bonus. That gave the workers a huge morality boost!”
“I guess this is his best move to cope with Yates Group not cooperating with him, or else he’ll be paying a fortune in compensation,” Angeline said with a smile.
Angeline wasn’t worried. She still had the formula leak as her trump card.
Xavier came out of the bedroom while rubbing his eyes. Angeline saw him and told Danny, “Xavier is awake. I got to go.”
Angeline hung up her phone. Xavier looked around the living room and didn’t see Sean.
“Mr. Lawson went to buy breakfast.
Didn’t you say you wanted cinnamon rolls for breakfast last night?”
Angeline smiled and carried Xavier. “Look at you. Looking for Mr.
over
Lawson as soon as you woke up. Do you not want me anymore?”
“Only little kids like Yasmine will look for Mommy,” Xavier said while snuggling into Angeline’s neck with his hands wrapped around it. Are we visiting Grandma Anne and Aunt Hatty later?”
“Yup!” Angeline put Xavier on the couch before making hot milk. “My work in Oceanford is finished. Once we’re back in Krontos, you can go to Mr. Lawson Senior’s place like Yasmine did.”
“What about you, Mommy?” Xavier walked to the open kitchen, climbed on the stool, and stared at Angeline, who was preparing the hot milk.
“I’m going to Lawson Global,” Angeline said with a light smile.
