Chapter 368

Angeline had never considered exposing Ingrid’s lie to Simon about saving his life. Still, she wouldn’t mind bringing it up if she could use it as a bargaining chip to cooperate with Norwalk Corporation.

It wasn’t that she was making Simon repay the favor. There weren’t many favors to repay when it came to doing business. All she was doing was weighing the scales and trying to achieve a mutually beneficial arrangement.

“It’ll be a win-win situation if I keep my mouth shut and Norwalk Corporation collaborates with us. It’ll help them gain a deeper foothold in Lonla’s market, and we’ll be able to show Marvonia what we’re capable of doing.

“Yes, they’ve sanctioned us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t expand to other markets in Yurope.”

Angeline tapped a finger on the table.

“They’ve just extended their contract with Ingrid as their global ambassador. If a scandal about her lying about saving Simon’s life breaks out…”

She paused, then continued, “It’ll still be a big blow to Norwalk Corporation’s reputation, no matter how quickly they react and terminate the contract. Remember that luxury brand, Pontesse? Its reputation floundered after its ambassador went down. I’m sure Norwalk doesn’t want that to happen.”

Angeline had calculated each step. She knew how to use the favor Simon owed her to provide Lawson Global with the biggest advantage possible. It was much better than letting it slip before Simon or the media for a brief moment of vindication. That wouldn’t have benefited her in any way.

A win-win situation was the goal here. Her silence had kept Norwalk Corporation going for the past three years, which was enough for them to consider working with Lawson Global. Morevoer, it wasn’t like Lawson Global was asking for too much. “Did you receive news from Marvonia?”

Sean suddenly smiled.

Angeline nodded.

“I heard Marvonia’s Minister of Commerce plans to visit Ica with people from a few Marvonian tech companies. They’re still hammering out the details am considering setting the collaboration with Norwalk before this matter is announced.”

Since her dinner with Simon was about business, Sean didn’t object to it. He nodded.

Just then, Taylor knocked on the door. Sean removed his glasses and wiped them.

As he did so, he lowered his eyes to conceal his gaze.

“I’ll pick you up after it’s over.”

Angeline couldn’t help smiling at that.

She stood up and said, “Alright. I’ll head on over when it’s time for lunch.”

…

Helen had been waiting for Ned to call her she was confident he would do so after learning Angeling was Vitality Biotech Group’s founder.

Yet, all she received was the news of Fletcher Corporation going bankrupt. Ned still didn’t contact her.

She immediately lost her cool and tried to reach him, but to no avail. Then, the thought of getting in touch with Ingrid crossed her mind.

Ingrid was at the hospital, weeping while watching Ned, when she received Helen’s call. She didn’t want to answer a call from an unknown number, but her phone wouldn’t stop ringing. She ultimately went into the bathroom to answer it.

“Hello?”
