Chapter 249
The current version of Sean was different from how he always looked on television, with his perfectly pressed suit, cold expression, and aloofness. It was also different from how he was in private when he showed his desire for her without abandon and confessed his feelings without any qualms.
“Ned! Ned, don’t scare me! Wake up!”
Gregory had his arms around Ned, who was lying unconscious on the floor.
Gregory’s shouts drew Angeline’s gaze back to them. She looked down at Ned lying on the floor. He had taken the hit from the ashtray for her. She swiftly pulled out her phone to dial 911.
Angeline had just reported their location when Sean gripped her arm with a sinister expression. He pulled her out roughly from the room and dragged her out of the Night Palace.
Sean was walking very fast on his long legs. Angeline had to run to keep up with his pace.
“Sean, slow down!”
Angeline’s voice was drowned in the pounding music, just like the screams of the fight in Room 8923 had been completely lost in the sound of the music.
“Sean!”
Sean dragged Angeline out of a side door in the Night Palace and went straight to the parking lot. He went over to the car, pulled open the door on the passenger side, and tried to force her in.
“Sean.”
Angeline gripped the car tightly, unwilling to get in.
He looked at her and laughed softly as he loosened his tight grip on her arm.
“Do you want to leave with Ned?”
His bloodied hand slammed the door of the passenger’s side shut.
“Fine. Go.”
Sean’s handsome features showed no sign of anger, and he seemed to be smiling lightly, but Angeline could sense that he was very angry.
“No, I don’t want to go with him. He has nothing to do with me! Your hand is injured.”
Angeline looked at Sean’s finger, which was still dripping blood. She panted as she reached out to him.
“Give me the keys. I’ll drive you to the hospital.”
When he saw the deep worry in her eyes, Sean’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He looked cold and stern, but his breathing suddenly grew heavy.
Angeline felt a strange feeling of electricity jolt through her body when she saw him looking at her like that.
She suppressed it and waved her opened palm at him.
“Give it to me!”
He pulled at his tie and cursed in a low voice. Then he grabbed the hand that Angeline was holding out and put his other hand around her head to press her against the car as he kissed her. He parted her lips and teeth roughly with his tongue and entwined her tongue with his. It was a deep, aggressive kiss.
Sean could be calm and rational when dealing with anything, but in the few times in
his life that he had lost control, it was always because of Angeline.
“Sean… Mmph
Angeline’s voice was swallowed in Sean’s kiss. The more she resisted and shrank back, the more wild and crazed his kiss became.
He seemed like an insane person who was on the brink of losing control, and Angeline did not know how to deal with it. She wanted to push him, but one of her hands was being pressed firmly on the roof by Sean, and the other hand was held in a tight grip between the two of
them.
She could not even move an inch.
Angeline’s head began to spin as she began to feel a lack of oxygen, and tears
started from her eyes.
She thought of what Sean had said about her leaving with Ned.
Then she thought of how she and Ned had been in the same room, embroiled in the
same fight, which Sean had just happened to see.
She thought of how out of control Sean was at that moment.
Her heartbeat sped up significantly, and she understood his anger.
Sean had always told her directly about his feelings for her.
However, Sean needed Angeline to return those feelings.
Although she felt like Sean had sucked all the energy out of her and that she had been kissed so hard.
that she
she had no strength left to resist, she tried her best to
reciprocate.
She sensed Sean pausing. Her hand snaked up to his neck as she began to take
the initiative.
