Chapter 310
Ned’s expression was dark as he looked at Helen. “So, how do you want me to work with you?”
“Those children can’t remain with the Lawson family. I can help to lure them out and hand them to you. Since they’re your children, you can deal with them however you please! But no matter what, you have to make sure they can’t return to the Lawson family.”
Helen smiled. “You’re their father, after all. No one can say you’re in the wrong for taking them away.”
She’d heard that Xavier and Yasmine had Robert and Jessica wrapped around their fingers. Jessica, especially, couldn’t be away from them at all.
Besides, she’d also heard from Robert’s lawyer’s assistant that Robert’s will stated some of his things would go to Xavier and Yasmine. How could she not be jealous?
Despite being related to Robert by blood, Helen wasn’t getting a single dime. Yet Angeline’s bastard children were included in the will. Helen’s father was Robert’s brother!
That wasn’t all. Robert had earlier agreed to let Rowan leave the country, yet the police had arrived at the hotel to arrest him just a little while later.
Helen didn’t know whether Robert or Sean was behind it. Still, regardless of how Rowan would end up, she had to do everything she could to get what she deserved. The methods didn’t matter-they were only a means to an end.
Ned’s gaze was so complicated that it was impossible to read him. Before he could say anything, his phone rang. Seeing that the call was from Trevor, he answered, “Hello?
“Something bad’s happened, Mr. Fletcher! Someone from Vitality Biotech just called to ask me why there are two companies that are already producing the medication for Alzheimer’s. I looked into it and found that we missed out on those companies when taking back the formulation!” Trevor’s voice trembled.
“When I was handling the mediation with Vitality Biotech a few days ago, the guarantee signed included a clause that stated we’d have to

more than three million dollars if we
couldn’t ensure the formulation was completely collected!”
Ned shot to his feet. “Have you spoken to Mr. Reilly?”
“He’s furious right now and refuses to answer our calls. I spoke to his assistant, and it seems Mr. Reilly’s doing his best to explain this to the founder According to them, the founder never wanted to work with us and was only willing to give us a shot because of Mr. Reilly.
“Now that things have gone wrong on our end, Mr. Reilly’s worried he won’t even be able to keep his job.”
“I’ll head to Vitality Biotech right now. Let’s meet at the entrance,” Ned said. Helen raised an eyebrow when she heard him mention Vitality Biotech Group.
After hanging up, Ned looked at Helen. Worried that she would do something crazy to Xavier and Yasmine if he were to reject her outright, he said, “I have something urgent to attend to now, so we can talk about this later.
“Before we come to an agreement, you’re not allowed to go near the kids. Otherwise, don’t blame me for getting nasty!”
