Chapter 339
Angeline passed the materials regarding land No. 3 mentioned by Monica.
“Have a look.”
“Alright.”
Gary flipped through the pages suspiciously and glanced up.
Seeing she was still busy reading through the materials, he asked, “Ms. Lawson, are you going to purchase this land?”
“It’s public knowledge that Scott Incorporated will launch the largest CBD project in Krontos. If I purchase this land, can you draft an agreement based on the most reasonable pricing?”
“Sure! Although the CBD project is well-known, the detailed plan remains a mystery. The land might appreciate in value, but if it’s not one of the core locations, I’m afraid…” Gary faltered.
He went silent for a few seconds before adding, “Also, this land was on bid six years ago. Now that news of Scott Incorporated’s project has begun circulating, I’m not sure if the landowner will be willing to sell.”
Monica had shown Angeline the detailed plan before, but she couldn’t just bring this matter to light. She could’ve just bought it from Monica under her own name, but she’d owe her a personal favor.
Monica purchased land No. 3 through another company, and land No. 3 wasn’t the only one. She did the same with land No. 2 and land No. 6 as well.
Lara found out that the largest land, land No. 6, was purchased by Monica, so she coerced her into giving up the land for Scott Incorporated. However, after that, Monica sold land No. 2 at an incredibly high price to the company.
She was doing Angeline a favor by revealing details regarding land No. 3 to her. She was also looking to stir some trouble for Lara. She first brought up the idea of constructing the fargest CBD project in Krontos. She’d geared herself up for the project by purchasing these lands, yet little did she expect Lara to be responsible for the project.
Monica had been particularly cautious ever since Lara learned about land No. 6. News only began to circulate once the deal regarding land No. 3 progressed with Scott Incorporated the land would be thers once the purchase deal was closed.
Monica visited Angeline that day, proposing she’d still sell the land to her if she were willing to work

Angeline either sealed the deal with Sept Scott incorporated using the land as leverage or if she sold it to them at an exorbitant amount. Her only goal was to upset Lara.
Monica felt that this move was killing two birds with one stone. She could work with Angeline while pissing Lara off.
Angeline was certain Monica would sell the land to her even if she bought it under Lawson Global’s name instead of working with Monica. It’d benefit Lawson Global and could also grant Monica the desired outcome.
“Don’t worry about that,” Angeline assured Gary.
“Give me an estimate before noon. You may leave now.”
Gary nodded and shut the file. He was slightly surprised she didn’t glean any
information from his previous conversation with Sean.
He called Sean once he stepped out of her office, informing him about her plan to showcase his loyalty.
“Alright. Just do as she says,” Sean replied.
It took Gary a while to return to his senses after the phone call. He nodded
tentatively, concluding that Sean and Angeline hadn’t made their rivalry transparent
yet, unlike the three sisters at Scott Incorporated.
He figured it’d only be a matter of time for it to happen.
