Chapter 408
Brayden wore a terrifying, grim expression as he watched the elevator door close. After letting out a cold laugh, he smashed the whiskey glass on the floor.
Brayden resented Angeline’s condescending look, which resembled Sean.
He knew Sean disliked Melissa. But because Sean had always wanted a sister when he was a kid, he liked and cared for Melissa, pampering her like his younger sister.
However, Brayden was clear that Melissa hadn’t come all the way here the day before to be Sean’s younger sister.
Everything about Melissa showed that she was the perfect match for Sean.
Because Sean disliked Melissa, she wouldn’t be his weakness. That was the reason why Brayden helped Melissa to be with Sean.
So, Brayden had served Sean a drugged wine. But he never would’ve thought Sean could control himself that much and didn’t even lay a finger on the drunk Melissa.
Brayden pulled his collar and thought, “Is Angeline going to latch onto Shane like a leech?”
The worst part about this was that Angeline was Sean’s one true love, so Brayden couldn’t do anything to Angeline that easily.
After Brayden hesitated for a while, his eyes suddenly sparkled.
If he couldn’t change Sean, then he could change Angeline.
How could Brayden forget about Ned?
Brayden remembered from his investigation that Angeline and Ned were once madly in love, to the point that their relationship was the talk of all Oceanford.
When Ned had lost his memory, Angeline never left him after she woke up from her coma, despite all the shame, humiliation, and heinous bullying that Ned had done to her.
If Ned could make Angeline fall in love with him again, Angeline would probably leave Sean.
Brayden’s eyes sparkled with hope!
If Angeline and Ned rekindled their relationship, Sean would have to let go of Angeline!
Brayden wasn’t angry anymore and smiled while making a phone call “Hey, try to get in contact with Ned. That guy from Fletcher Corporation in Oceanford that went bankrupt Yes!
“What, no! I don’t want to meet him! Just passed him a message…”
Angeline smiled and told Lenny, “You may go home and see your girlfriend now! I’m not going out for the rest of the day.”
Lenny nodded. “If Mr. Green comes, don’t open the door for him without Mr. Lawson here! While I don’t think
Mr. Green would do anything, I’m worried youll be scared.”
Lenny had seen Brayden go mad before. But he knew that even if Brayden did, he wouldn’t dare to hurt Sean’s lover.
“I know. Don’t worry about me. Just go home! You can take the car. Just pick me up tomorrow morning,” Angeline replied with a smile.
After closing the door, Angeline’s smile faded.
She had researched the Kingston family after Robert told him about them previously.
While the Kingston family was
slowly fading into obscurity,
Trustworth Group, which was once
under Kingston Empire had
replaced the Kingston family’s
status in the business world.
Angeline turned on her laptop and opened an encrypted document. She clicked on Melissa’s name from the list of names in the folder.
Inside was the medical record for Melissa’s heart transplant surgery.
Angeline stared at the medical record for a while before closing it and searching for Melissa Lane on the Internet.
