Zachary nodded. “Alright. Mr. Marshall and I will take our leave.”
Sherryn watched them leave, then sat down next to Ned. “I don’t know how much of your memories you’ve recovered, but it’s impossible for you and Angeline to be together now. Everyone knows that you’re engaged to Ingrid, not to mention what you did to Angeline to force her to divorce you.”
Ned leaned back against the couch, unmoving and silent.
Sherryn grabbed his hand. “Ned, although I didn’t like Ingrid at first, but compared to Angeline, she’s at least an international celebrity. She’s also the person who saved Mr. Norwalk, and she loves you. If you break up with her now, she might get revenge on you behind your back!”
“Can you please be quiet!” Ned’s voice was hoarse. He didn’t want to hear a single word of it.

Sherryn spoke through gritted teeth. “Angeline is only a distant relative to the adopted son of the Lawson family in Krontos! Sean dared not let Mr. Lawson Senior know that he’d been taking care of his distant relative behind his back.
“If not, considering all those years we took care of Angeline, he would’ve at least sent us an invitation to Mr. Lawson Senior’s birthday banquet! To Sean, Angeline isn’t presentable.”
“Can you please stop talking? I don’t want to hear it!” Ned stood up abruptly and tossed the towel over his eyes onto the coffee table.
“Ned! Is this how you speak to your mom?” Sherryn stood up, raging. “Your dad acts like this, and you’re acting this way, too… Are you both trying to kill me?”
Ned didn’t say a word. He merely loosened his tie and headed upstairs.
“Ned! I’m telling you. You’re an adult now. You’re no longer the spoilt heir! You’ve taken over Fletcher Corporation, so you must bear the responsibility!” Sherryn watched her son’s retreating figure.
She ran after him to the foot of the

Irritated, Ned covered his ears.
Sherryn was furious when she saw Ned acting that way. She raised her voice. “If Angeline’s child is yours, then we must get the child back no matter what! As for t As for making. making Angeline a part of our family again, you’d
better not think bout it!”

Ned responded to that by slamming his door shut.
“You! Ned, you might as well end my life and tell your dad to bring that slut back to be your stepmom!”
Sherryn sat down angrily on the couch, her eyes full of tears.
Neither her husband nor her son could be relied on.
When she thought about how her son had been bewitched by Angeline, she felt anger surge within her again.
If Ned hadn’t threatened to take his own life and then run off to marry Angeline without Sherryn’s permission, then Angeline would never have married into the Fletcher family.
