“When you asked me to change the script, I refused and walked away. I wasn’t hounding you at all!” Amara was really pissed off.

She had anticipated that Liliana might outright accuse her of shoving her into the pond. But to her surprise, Liliana spun a different tale, claiming that Amara’s relentless pressure caused her to accidentally fall into the water.

Honestly, if Liliana had gone with the first story, Amara knew it would sound ridiculous to some people. After all, pushing a “rival” into the water in broad daylight was a blatant act of folly. Amara wasn’t stupid; she wouldn’t have dared do such a thing.

However, the idea of being pressured and accidentally falling? That sounded like a plausible scenario. So when Liliana presented her version, most of the people at the scene believed her.

Right now, Amara’s anger was boiling over.

“Finn, I’m not lying,” Liliana insisted, ignoring Amara and instead addressing Finnian.

“I asked Ms. Sullivan to adjust the script because I’m pregnant and couldn’t handle that scene. Ms. Sullivan got upset, saying it was irresponsible of me to take the role knowing I was expecting. I admit I was wrong. I should have been more considerate before accepting the role. I’ve come to terms with that. But leaving that aside, Ms. Sullivan was genuinely mad at me, and she did pressure me. Her gaze really horrified me, so I backed away, forgetting the pond was right behind me p>

Her demeanor vulnerable, tears welled up as she spoke. As Amara was ready to counter, Liliana quickly added, “Why would I lie about this? Falling into the water hurt me and my baby the most. I treasure my child. Why would I willingly jump into a pond p>

Liliana’s point was hard to argue against. She had no obvious motive to throw herself into the water, so her narrative about Amara’s aggressive actions seemed more credible.

Amara clenched her fists, seething with fury, veins throbbing at her temples. She had half a mind to toss Liliana back into the pond herself.

again, raising herself slightly, her tone serious. “I have a request. Given the recent series of unfortunate events, all involving Ms. Sullivan, it’s become unbearable. I’m genuinely concerned for my baby’s safety. Therefore, I request we replace Ms. Sullivan as the lead screenwriter with someone who bears me no ill will p>
