After hanging up, Amara set her phone down, her brow furrowed.

Knowing Finnian’s condition didn’t ease her mind; it only made her more worried.

He had a fever of 102, and he was mumbling her name? Why would he do that?

If he was delirious, shouldn’t he be calling for Liliana? Why her?

Why was he always so full of contradictions? What was wrong with him?

Amara pondered this for a long time but came up with no answers. She decided she needed to stop thinking about it. She wasn’t planning on being with him anyway. It was better to just rest.

She patted her cheeks, forcing herself to clear her mind, and picked up a book.

Around seven that evening, Elysia arrived after finishing her work for the day.

Elysia was just as stunned.

Honestly, she had expected Finnian to be angry or even lose his mind when he found out about the pregnancy. But she never would have imagined him crying.

“Ama, I think Finnian might actually be in love with you,” Elysia said, unable to hold back the thought.

“Think about it. If his reaction had been anger, you could write it off as his male ego being bruised his ex-wife having another man’s child.

“But he wasn’t angry; he was heartbroken. That’s not something you feel unless you’re genuinely in love p>

Amara sighed. “I feel like he doesn’t

love me, but at the same time, it’s not like he doesn’t. It’s so confusing, Let’s just not talk about him anymore p>

She had spent enough of the day agonizing over it and didn’t want to let it ruin her evening. She changed the subject.

Elysia went along with it, but her mind was still on Finnian.
