Chapter 862
Antonia’s eyes widened in disbelief. “W-what do you mean? What do you mean by Keith not wanting me? I don’t even like him! Why would you bring that up?”
Her face flushed crimson, and she began to stammer. Her defensive reaction only proved that Amara had hit the nail on the head.
Amara let out a cold laugh. “Still refusing to admit it? Drop the act, will you? Anyone on this set with functioning eyes can see how you feel about him. Stop treating everyone like idiots.”
Those words rendered Antonia completely speechless.
She stared at Amara, her eyes wide, a tidal wave of fury and humiliation crashing over her. She couldn’t form a single coherent sentence.
If anyone else had said it, she might have brushed it off. But this was Amara.
Amara was the woman Keith actually liked—a fact that, again, anyone with eyes could see.
Hearing this from Amara made Antonia feel like an absolute loser. The sting was agonizing.
She scrambled to find a comeback, but just then, the sound of steady footsteps approached, followed by a voice that dripped with ice: “Why are you bothering Amara again?”
At the sight of the newcomer, Antonia barely had time to react before Amara’s expression shifted. It was Finnian.
The moment she saw him, every cell in Amara’s body went on high alert. She subconsciously clenched her fists, eyeing him with deep wariness.
Seeing Amara’s entire demeanor change-going completely on the defensive the second he arrived left a bitter taste in Finnian’s mouth.
He didn’t speak to her first. Instead, he leveled a freezing glare at Antonia. “What did you come here to say to Amara?”
Antonia bit her lip. “We weren’t saying anything. I just came over to chat with her.”
Finnian didn’t believe a word of it. He knew exactly what kind of person Antoni was spoiled brat coddled by the Everly family, completely self-centered, and a nuisance wherever she went.
Furthermore, he had heard the
gossip from the crew. Antonia had a crush on Keith, while Keith clearly,
had feelings for Amara The reason”
Antonia kept seeking Amara out couldn’t have been more obvious.
He stared at Antonia in suffocating silence until she began to tremble under the weight of his gaze. Finally, his thin lips parted, his voice
them
dangerously low. “Stay awa Amara. If I find out you’ve done anything to her again, don’t blame
me for what happens next.”
It was a naked threat. Antonia shook visibly, desperately trying to hold herself together.
“Finnian, what are you talking about? Why would I do anything to Amara? I haven’t done a single thing to her. Please don’t misunderstand me.”
She forced a brittle smile, but Finnian’s eyes remained completely devoid of warmth.
He held her gaze for another terrifying moment, watching her shrink under the pressure, before spitting out two words: “Get out.”
Dismissing her entirely, he wrapped his fingers tightly around Amara’s wrist. “I need to talk to you. Let’s go over there.”
He pulled Amara toward the adjacent corridor. Watching them walk away, Antonia’s pretty face twisted into a mask of pure jealousy.
Why? What was so great about Amara? Why did all these men constantly bend over backward to protect her?
It was one thing for Keith to do it, but why was Finnian defending her so fiercely? Blinded by indignation, Antonia completely forgot how terrifying Finnian’s expression had been just moments prior. She bolted after them and threw herself in their path.
