After fleeing the Everly Group HQ, Amara headed straight back to her villa.

Still refusing to accept defeat, she dialed every single clinic in Wye equipped to handle a late-term abortion procedure.

She intended to secure an appointment over the phone before going in for the operation. Yet, the second she provided her name and ID, the receptionists panicked, claiming they had zero available beds and no doctors on staff. Then, they hung up on her instantly.

The blatant coordination left her completely dumbfounded, only fueling her burning rage toward Finnian.

He had moved frighteningly fast. It hadn’t even been that long, yet he had managed to lock down every single facility.

It seemed without his explicit permission, securing a safe procedure in Wye was genuinely impossible. What on earth was she supposed to do now?

Lost in her frantic thoughts, her phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen-it was Keith West.

Amara answered the call. “Hello?”

“Ama, did you get the procedure done?” Keith asked gently. “How are you feeling?”

The moment she saw his name, she knew he was calling to check on her. She let out a heavy sigh. “I couldn’t get it done.”

“Why not?” he asked, sounding genuinely surprised.

Amara rubbed her temples. “It’s a long story. I’ll tell you when we see each other next.”

It wasn’t something easily explained over a call. Besides, she was still so furious that talking felt exhausting. She just wanted to hang up.

But Keith pressed on, “Where are you right now? I’m coming over. I just finished my shoot.”

She considered it for a second. “I’m at home. Do you still remember the address? Actually, never mind, I’ll just send you the location.”

Ending the call, she forwarded the villa’s location to him via WhatsApp, then headed downstairs to brew a fresh pot of coffee.

Once the coffee was ready, she carried the mugs into the living room just as Keith pulled up outside. Amara went over to open the door for him.

Amara sighed, leading him over to the couch. “You guessed it. It was Finnian. He found out I was going in for the abortion and showed up to stop me right before entered the operating room.”

She quickly recounted everything that had transpired over the past two days. By the time she finished, Keith was boiling with rage.

“That bastard! I can’t believe he found out, and he actually dared to block you from every other hospital! What an absolute piece of garbage!”

Keith unleashed a relentless string of curses, absolutely ripping into Finnian and painting him as something less than human.

Once he had vented enough to feel slightly better, he stated, “Don’t stress. I’ll handle this. I’ve got a private jet. I’ll secure a flight path and take you overseas for the procedure.”

Amara shook her head firmly. “Stay out of this one, Keith. I need to figure this out on my own.”

She didn’t want to drag him into this mess. For one, it would only bring trouble to his doorstep. Second, she honestly didn’t think he could go toe-to-toe with a man like Finnian.

Filing for international flight paths would inevitably trigger red flags and Finnian would undoubtedly spot it. They would go through all that trouble for nothing. It was better she found an alternative.
