Chapter 278
She was genuinely worried.
Elysia knew better than anyone how much Amara liked Finnian, and now that Finnian was showing interest in Amara, she was terrified Amara would fall into the same trap again.
“Ely, don’t worry, I won’t,” Amara reassured her, patting Elysia’s shoulder with a touch of sadness in her eyes.
“He’s still tangled up with Liliana. Why would I get involved with him p>
“That’s good. You really need to think these things through p>
Just then, a worried voice broke through. “Ama, how are you? You didn’t call me -I was worried sick p>
Before Amara could even register the person rushing toward her, she was enveloped in a bear hug.
The sudden embrace nearly knocked the breath out of her. “Keith, what the heck? Let go of me!” she protested, playfully hitting his shoulder. After all, she had worked hard to look this good, and she’d kill Keith if he messed it up.

Keith was still in his stage costume, a vintage suit from a 1920s-themed play. It wasn’t too outlandish, but the expression on his face clashed hilariously with his attire, making Amara burst into laughter.
“Laugh all you want, but I’ve been worried sick. How can you find this funny?” Keith grumbled.
“Worried about what? I’m perfectly fine, and can you chill out a bit in public p>
“Nope!” Keith declared, hugging Amara even tighter and giving her a reassuring pat on the back.
The two of them made quite the pair-Keith tall and broad, Amara petite and graceful. Elysia watched them with a mix of amusement and exasperation but stayed silent.
Their moment was interrupted, though, as two hands appeared out of nowhere, prying Keith and Amara apart.
A strikingly handsome face wedged itself between them, speaking in a cold tone, “What are you two doing? Can you be mindful of your surroundings in public p>
Keith turned to face the new arrival, frowning, “Who the heck are you p>
“It doesn’t matter who I am,” the man, Dorian, replied with a dismissive huff.
“Are you trying to start something?” Keith shot back, immediately suspicious of Dorian’s intentions.
Just as things were heating up, Elysia sauntered over, tapping Keith on the shoulder. “Remember the photo I sent you? This is my husband p>
Keith looked Dorian up and down, eyebrows knitted in confusion.
Dorian, too, was staring daggers at Keith. “Are you two close friends?” he asked Elysia.
“Yep,” Elysia replied casually. “Why do you ask p>
With Elysia confirming their friendship, Dorian’s expression darkened further. “You’re friends, yet you’re hugging in public like that? Maybe be a bit more considerate p>
He was clearly referring to Amara and Keith. Elysia was taken
aback Dorian usually didn’t meddle in other people’s business. What had
gotten into him today?
Suddenly, a realization hit her-Finnian’s confession to Amara. It all made sense
now.
Stepping forward, she retorted, “They’re both single, and more importantly, what
does it have to do with you? Why do you care if they hug p>
Dorian’s face fell when Elysia undermined him in front of the others.
“What’s gotten into you, acting so hostile p>
“You think I’m the one being hostile p>
Elysia shot back sarcastically, “I should be asking you what’s up.. You’re not usually so uptight. Did you wake up stuck in the 19th century or something p>
