Keith’s words pierced Finnian’s heart like a needle.

Finnian knew Keith was telling the truth, but he was out of options.

If he didn’t push Amara, was he supposed to just watch her abort the baby? That was their shared bloodline.

“How is this any of your business?”

Finnian glared at Keith coldly. “Get out. This is Amara and my shared home. You don’t have a say here.”

Hearing this, Keith didn’t think much of it, knowing Finnian was just throwing an impotent tantrum.

But Amara was displeased. What was Finnian talking about?

She stepped forward, looking straight at Finnian. “What do you mean, our shared home? Mr. Everly, this is my own house. The deed only has my name on it, and…”

At this point, Amara felt a pang of sorrow. Suppressing the lump in her throat, she said, “For the past three years, I’ve lived in this house alone. You never even stepped foot in it. You left no trace of your existence here…”

“Finnian, I doubt you even know where all the rooms are in this house. Without a GPS, you wouldn’t even know how to get here. What gives you the right to call this your home?”

Amara grew increasingly agitated as she spoke.

Though she repeatedly told herself not to care about the past three years, saying it was one thing, doing it was another.

No matter how much she tried to persuade herself, she had been deeply hurt over those three years. Whenever she thought of that lonely, helpless time, her heart ached.

Finnian clenched his fists, his eyes filled with deep guilt.

He owed Amara for those past three years, so he was powerless to refute her words.

He took a step forward. “Amara, I know I was wrong in the past. I will change from now on. Please don’t give up on me, okay?”

she and Finnian were on equal footing. So, when Finnian didn’t come home for three years and refused to see her whenever she delivered things to the Everly Group, Amara didn’t think he did anything wrong.

But theory was one thing; emotions were another.

Rationally, she knew Finnian wasn’t wrong, but emotionally, she had been hurt.
