She could feel his gaze lingering on her back, which made her uncomfortable. It wasn’t until she closed the door to her room that she finally felt some relief.
Amara recalled the look on Finnian’s face just now. His expression had been unreadable, but she thought she sensed a hint of sadness. Was it just her imagination?
She forced herself to push these pointless thoughts away.
Whether Finnian was hurt or not had nothing to do with her. Once she moved out, they would have even less to do with each other, and ideally, they wouldn’t have any contact at all.

He reached out and took Amara’s hand, his grip firm and steady. “Don’t worry. As soon as I wrap up a few things these next days, we’ll get married. As for my parents, you don’t need to worry-I’ll handle them p>
Caught off guard by Keith’s sudden grasp, Amara looked up and met his determined eyes, and her heart skipped a beat.
