Chapter 932
She definitely couldn’t go to some illegal underground clinics; that was far too dangerous. Did she have to go out of state?
Maybe she could drive out of state secretly in the middle of the night?
It sounded like a decent idea, but Amara knew it would be incredibly difficult to pull
off.
First of all, wouldn’t Finnian notice if she drove out of state?
Second, even if she made it, which hospital would she go to? Just pick one at random?
She wasn’t familiar with the medical landscape outside of Wye, and the risks were astronomical.
Besides, she had to stay with the production crew and didn’t have that much free time. The plan looked feasible on paper but was a nightmare in practice.
What about asking Mr. Kevin Everly for help?
The old man adored her. If she asked, would he step in?
Amara thought about it for a second and immediately scratched the idea.
Mr. Everly loved her, yes, but she was carrying his great-grandchild.
Asking him to help her abort his own great-grandchild? Even if they were close, she couldn’t bring herself to ask. That road was a dead end too.
Amara sighed. What was she supposed to do? This was a nightmare.
As her thoughts spiraled, a knock sounded at the door. She was getting tired of
sitting anyway, so she got up to stretch her legs and answer it.
When she opened the door, she froze. Finnian was standing right there. She
frowned instinctively. “Mr. Everly. What do you want?”
Finnian stared intently at her face. The moment she saw him, her expression shifted
into obvious displeasure. His own face darkened slightly.
“I brought you some things,” he said, lifting the bags in his hand.
Amara glanced down. He was holding a few paper bags and a briefcase.
What was this? Had he just come from a meeting and decided to pick up some groceries on the way?
Amara shook her head. “I don’t need any of that, Mr. Everly. You don’t have to bring me anything.”
She was so repulsed by him right now; why would she want his stuff?
Plus, the issue of him blocking her late-term abortion procedure was still unresolved Technically, they were enemies at the moment How could she accept gifts from the enemy?
Finnian’s expression turned grim. “What? You hate seeing me so much that you won’t even accept my things?”
Obviously, Amara thought, wanting、
to snap a “yes.” But Finnian simply pushed the door open wider, strode rightan, and c osed it behind
him.
She might be pushing him away, making it clear she didn’t want his gifts, but Finnian hadn’t come all this way just to be turned down.
He set the paper bags on the table. “I bought some fruit and pastries. Eat up. Have you still been dealing with morning sickness?”
Ever since he found out she was pregnant, he had been reading up on everything related to pregnancy.
He knew the first few months could be brutal. He genuinely wanted to know if her nausea had subsided. He really cared.
Amara pressed her lips into a thin
line. “No morning sickness. And
won’t have any the det
in future, eithe
because I don’t want this baby.”
Finnian’s head snapped up, his hands instinctively clenching into fists.
He wanted to argue, but the crushing weight in his chest made it impossible to find the right words.
Deciding to bypass the argument, Finnian cut straight to the chase.
He opened his briefcase and pulled out a stack of documents. “Amara, I want you to
keep the baby. And I want us to get married.”
