Sitting beside him, Liliana asked what brought him by, if he had already wrapped up his morning work and whatnot. Finnian rarely visited her spontaneously, so this was a pleasant surprise for Liliana.
However, Finnian didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic. He engaged in small talk with Liliana, his expression slightly tense, frequently glancing towards the door as if distracted.
