“Finnian, how could you do that?”

Larry was furious. Disregarding Finnian’s high status, he interrogated him without giving him an ounce of respect.

Finnian didn’t show a hint of anger, his tone remaining respectful. “Mr. Sullivan, I know I was wrong. I owe Amara a great deal, and I owe the baby she’s carrying just as much.”

He looked up, his voice utterly sincere. “Rest assured, as long as Amara gets back together with me, I will slowly make up for everything I owe her. Moving forward, I’ll take excellent care of her and our child. I will treat her right.”

Strictly speaking, Finnian’s demeanor was composed and grounded, just laced with a bit more respect than usual.

But anyone who knew him would be shocked to see him acting like this.

Finnian was such a proud man. For him to bow his head to a woman’s father and speak so softly was nothing short of a miracle.

After all, he never even acted this way in front of Andrew Everly, Emma Everly, or even Mr. Kevin Everly.

However, no matter how pretty Finnian’s words were, Larry wasn’t buying them.

He let out a heavy scoff and said, “This whole mess is just too chaotic. We can’t settle what to do in just a few words, so don’t get your hopes up. Leave us.”

He was kicking him out outright, showing no regard for Finnian’s pride, but Finnian wasn’t angry in the slightest.

He stood up and said, “Mr. Sullivan, I’ll take my leave then.”

“Everything I just said is true. Every single word came straight from my heart. You can confidently trust me with Amara; I will treat her well.”

After finishing his piece, he cast a deep glance at Amara before turning around and exiting the private room.

Once Finnian was gone, only Larry, Amara, and Elysia remained in the room.

For a moment, no one spoke. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Technically, Elysia was an outsider in this family matter, making it awkward for her to chime in. So she stayed silent, her gaze bouncing back and forth between Amara and Larry.

Amara furrowed her brow slightly, lost in thought. A flicker of worry crossed her features.
