Amara didn’t hold back, not one bit.

She was shaking with anger, a thousand words on the tip of her tongue, but none of them came out. All she could do was throw back whatever was hurled at her.

She knew how it was in this world; the double standards between men and women when it came to infidelity were clear as day. A woman stepping out was seen as an unforgivable sin, especially when she and Finnian were on such unequal footing.
