Chapter 1034
Chapter 1034:
His words left Millie feeling slightly uncomfortable, though she maintained her composure and remained silent. She glanced briefly toward Anika to gauge her reaction.
“That’s quite enough flattery for now,” Jace interrupted, raising his hand to cut through the excessive politeness. “I think all three of us came here today because we want honest answers, not empty praise p>
Foley nodded vigorously.
“You were deliberately vague during the exhibition the other day. What are your company’s actual capabilities?” Jace asked directly. He then looked first at Millie, and then at Anika, before turning his full attention back to Foley. He leaned forward in his chair, his gaze becoming sharp and penetrating. “You must understand that if you want to establish any kind of business relationship with the Armstrong family, you’ll need to prove that you have something genuinely valuable to offer p>
Anika nodded her agreement with Jace’s assessment. “Indeed, I hope you understand that attempting to deceive the Stewart family would be extremely unwise p>
“You’re well aware of the consequences of even attempting to deceive us.” Anika’s words held undeniable authority—she was in a position to make such a warning.
Millie just smiled and said nothing intimidating.
She almost looked like somebody who was just trying to ride her powerful friends’ coattails.
Foley dabbed at the sweat on his forehead and gave a quick nod. “You’re absolutely right. We’re feeling confident for two main reasons. First, we’ve actually made some real progress with our technology. The second reason isn’t locked in yet, so I’m keeping quiet about it for now. But we’ll announce it to everyone once everything’s finalized p>
Foley’s face brightened as he passed out the paperwork to Millie and the others.

“Here’s what we’ve actually accomplished,” Foley went on. “To be honest, I figured you’d show up today, and I was planning to walk you through everything. But then that intern mixed up appointments… Anyway, let’s move past that p>
Millie started reading through the papers in front of her.
Yaroslav Technology had come a long way. They had not only improved the robots to look friendlier and less mechanical, but they’d also mapped out where they wanted to take their research next. Their plans involved breaking things down into more specific categories and connecting with AI databases to make the training smarter and more sophisticated.
While Millie studied the documents, Foley kept talking. “Now this second breakthrough we’ve made is something special p>
After wrapping up his explanation, Foley walked over to a door with obvious pride and pulled it open. A robot stood waiting on the other side.
Foley pressed something, and the robot stepped forward into the room.
“Jessica, pour us some coffee,” Foley told the robot.
“Of course, Mr. Carter,” the robot answered, and then moved to pour coffee for the three visitors, holding out the tray professionally.
Jace got up and grabbed a cup from the tray, and then walked around the robot, examining it from different angles.
Millie and Anika looked at each other briefly before walking over to take a closer look themselves.
