Chapter 867:
“Mr. Watson p>
The bodyguard shook with fear.
“Don’t do this to me, sir!” he shouted desperately.
If something happened to Brandon, how could he answer for it?
He called Eugene immediately.
The hospital erupted into urgency, doctors and nurses rushing around. Brandon was lifted onto a waiting gurney and wheeled straight into the emergency room.
At the Elliott Mansion, dinner had ended, but the group lingered, talking and laughing. Most of their questions circled around Sheridan and Alexia, curious about their relationship and what lay ahead for them.
Ari sat cuddling the cat, quietly listening. Millie looked around, warmth blooming in her heart.
If life could always stay like this, it would be perfect.
“Myron, will you come outside with me for a while?” Myron suddenly asked.
She turned to him. “Where to p>
“Just follow me. You’ll know soon,” he replied, his voice gentle.
Millie nodded, said her goodbyes to the others, and went with him. They boarded a shuttle and soon arrived at the lake.
“Come on,” Myron said, reaching out his hand.
Millie smiled and slipped her hand into his. His palm was warm, steady, reassuring.
“Careful now,” Myron said.
Millie followed him onto a small boat, stepping lightly. The boat set off, gliding toward the lake’s heart. The breeze brushed softly against them.
Millie’s eyes wandered curiously. She still didn’t know what Myron had planned. The sun dipped lower, painting the horizon, while she sat beside him, drifting across the waters.

Ten minutes later, they reached a small island floating in the middle of the lake. Millie’s eyes widened as she saw something unexpected.
At the center of the lake, an island held a magnificent glass sanctuary, its crystalline walls rising like a cathedral from the water’s embrace.
As twilight descended, amber sunlight bathed the entire structure in liquid gold, transforming it into a beacon of fiery brilliance.
Myron and Millie’s boat sliced through the calm surface of the water, and with each stroke of the oars, the mysterious shapes within the glass sanctuary grew more distinct. Something enigmatic waited within those transparent walls, though Millie couldn’t yet decipher its secrets through the play of light and shadow.
Their modest vessel kissed the shoreline with barely a whisper.
Myron vaulted onto the rocky ground first, his movements fluid and sure, then turned to offer his weathered hand to her.
Millie accepted his gesture gratefully, using his strength to steady herself as she stepped from the boat to the earth.
“Millie, close your eyes for me,” Myron requested, his voice carrying barely contained excitement.
