Chapter 717
Chapter 717:
That same day, three of Crobert’s top corporate heads failed to show up at their offices.
Their absence went unexplained, making it all the more suspicious.
It was one thing for the leader of Elliott Group and one of the Evans brothers to be away; they could have been busy with other affairs. But with the Watson Group’s latest product just hitting the market, Brandon’s disappearance was far harder to overlook.
Derek had taken over the day-to-day operations for now.
At Elliott Group, the workload fell to Jayceon and Adriana while Myron remained absent.
Over at Evans Entertainment, Charles had vanished from the public eye as well, leaving his trusted team to keep things running.
Employees across these companies, many of whom knew each other, couldn’t stop whispering about it.
“What’s happening? None of these big shots are around. Where’d they all disappear to p>
“No clue. Not a single announcement p>
“Something big must’ve gone down. This has never happened before p>
“Go see if you can dig up anything p>
The very people fueling all the speculation were, in fact, busy dealing with a mess of their own. Brandon was lying in a hospital bed, and both Myron and Charles were on their way to him.
Charles had been fuming since early that morning when he’d first heard the news.
Before heading to the hospital, he had stopped by Elliott Mansion to find Myron, catching only a distant glimpse of Millie.
Now, the two men were in the same car, bound for the hospital where Brandon was.
Myron laid out everything he knew and then added, “Before I got there, Brandon must have said something to her, but only the two of them knew exactly what was said. Millie wasn’t in good shape, so I didn’t press her for details p>

“Bang p>
Charles slammed his fist into the car door, his teeth clenched.
His glare burned with pure rage and resentment.
“How could he do that?” Charles’ voice shook with fury. Brandon’s recent actions had fooled him into thinking that he was genuinely remorseful. If there had been real regret in Brandon’s heart and any genuine love for Millie, then hurting her should have been unthinkable.
Yet that was exactly what Brandon had done.
“I believe…” Myron’s gaze dropped slightly. “Brandon had completely lost control when he learned Millie and I were living under the same roof.” He let the words hang for a moment before adding, “But that doesn’t justify what he did to her p>
The revelation about them moving in together caught Charles off guard, though he kept silent.
He knew now that Millie and Myron were engaged, and them sharing a home was only a matter of time.
“That bastard Brandon!” Charles cursed under his breath, then hesitated, his eyes flicking toward Myron with a question he wasn’t sure he wanted answered. “When you got there, did he p>
