Chapter 960
Chapter 960:
How dare this woman completely dismiss both her judgment and her son’s feelings?
The more Helga thought about the exchange, the angrier she became. She also started worrying that Millie might hear gossip suggesting that she disapproved of their relationship or didn’t think Millie was good enough for Myron. Concerned that someone might try to introduce other women to Myron behind her back, Helga drove directly to Elliott Mansion and brought Millie along with her.
“Did you hear that?” Helga asked quietly.
Millie nodded, though she wasn’t sure what response was expected of her. While Millie had been with Brandon, his mother had never been openly hostile toward her, but neither had she been particularly warm or welcoming.
Brandon’s parents spent most of their time managing the family’s international business ventures, so their interactions had been infrequent, generally cordial but distant.
This was the first time Millie had ever encountered such a direct situation.
“You don’t need to do anything special or try to prove yourself,” Helga said reassuringly. “I brought you here simply to make it clear to everyone that I fully acknowledge and support your relationship with my son. Just be your usual, confident, charming self.” Was that really all there was to it?
Millie blinked in surprise.
“And there’s one more thing I want you to know,” Helga added, looking directly into Millie’s eyes with complete honesty. “After Myron’s father passed away, I did have other relationships with men. All three of my children know about this, and it’s never been a big deal in our family. So please don’t ever feel ashamed or insecure about your own past experiences p>
Millie felt a wave of warmth spread through her chest at these unexpectedly kind and understanding words. She nodded enthusiastically, feeling genuinely grateful for Helga’s openness and acceptance.

Satisfied that Millie had grasped her meaning, Helga glanced toward the manager standing nearby.
The manager, clearly feeling nervous about the situation, approached the door and knocked softly.
“I’ll arrange for the Smith girl to meet Myron, so don’t worry about it,” came a voice from inside the room, apparently still speaking on the phone.
The manager knocked again.
“Who is it?” the same voice asked with noticeable irritation. “Just come in already p>
“Still acting quite arrogant, I see,” Helga muttered under her breath with obvious disdain, as she took Millie’s hand and pushed the door open. “You…” The woman inside started to address Helga but stopped short when she noticed Millie standing beside her.
“If I hadn’t wanted to give you time to make yourself presentable, I would have walked right in without knocking,” Helga said with cold dismissal as she guided Millie to sit on the elegant sofa.
Seeing the manager hurry in behind them, Helga continued in a casual but pointed tone. “This is Millie’s first visit to your establishment, and she’s not familiar with all the services you offer. But I’ve got it. I remember that Susie is particularly skilled p>
with facial treatments. Is she free right now? Please have her come take care of Millie.
“Yes, she’s available right now,” the manager replied immediately, using the intercom system to call Susie to the room.
