Chapter 1089
Chapter 1089:
Myron wasn’t bothered by her teasing at all. Instead, he picked up the serving spoon and added more food to her plate, making sure she ate properly.
Their eyes met across the table, and in that moment, no words were necessary. They understood each other completely, moving in perfect sync like partners in a carefully choreographed dance.
They moved on to talking about all sorts of everyday topics, including Ari’s schooling.
It was as if the absolute pandemonium in the outside world had nothing to do with them at all. They were in their own peaceful bubble, completely content and unconcerned about the storm raging beyond those walls.
By afternoon, Myron was back at the Elliott Group when he noticed a crowd gathered at the door of the CEO’s office.
“What’s going on?” he asked, his tone calm and steady.
Everyone looked restless, pacing like cats on a hot stove. Myron, however, stayed composed.
“Mr. Elliott, what exactly did you tell the media at noon?” someone blurted out.
Myron gave the man a cool glance that said, “Why does it matter p>
“Mr. Elliott, this can’t go on! You shouldn’t keep getting tangled with Millie p>
“Yes! You’ve lost your head over her, wake up already p>

Mack nodded at his boss. “Mostly the opposition. We’ve identified them all,” he replied.
Myron nodded slightly, gave a few quiet instructions, and then made his way to the meeting room.
Inside, chaos reigned. Arguments filled the air, voices rose, faces flushed.
Adriana and Jayceon were still out handling other matters, but neither seemed too worried.
Adriana had said earlier, “Even if the Elliott Group buys Millie’s shares, so what? It’s just seventy-five million. Why panic? And who says she’ll fail? People just love making noise p>
Jayceon had completely agreed with his sister. “The company stands tall today because of my brother’s hard work. Why fuss over such a small investment? We’ve faced bigger losses before. If things go south, Myron can cover it himself. Besides, I trust him—and Millie p>
Just then, the door opened and Myron entered. He walked to his seat at the head of the table without a word.
The moment he sat down, the complaints started flying again.
“Mr. Elliott, you can’t let Millie run wild anymore p>
