Chapter 1100
Chapter 1100:
She wouldn’t lose.
Not to Millie. Never.
At the Evans household, three men watched the entire live stream.
Napier sat calmly, sipping his coffee.
Oakley’s face was as dark as thunder.
Charles, however, burst into laughter.
“Oakley, what was it you said?” he mocked. “Don’t trust Millie too much?” He mimicked Oakley’s earlier tone. “You were worried I’d be laughed at? Tell me, who’s laughing now? Hahaha p>
“Charles!” Oakley shot up, fists clenched.
Charles only shrugged and ducked behind Napier. “Relax, Oakley. No need to lose your cool p>
The irony wasn’t lost—Charles, of all people, telling someone to calm down. Oakley fumed.
“Better pray your luck holds,” he said, storming off.
Only Charles and Napier remained.
Napier glanced at his youngest grandson quietly.
Charles then explained what Millie had told him.
“It wasn’t like Oakley thought. In fact, Millie solved the problem. If she hadn’t, none of this would’ve happened,” Charles said.
Napier nodded slightly, understanding.
At JM Investments, Millie stepped out of her office after watching the stream.
The entire office erupted in cheers.

She smiled warmly but didn’t stop them.
When the noise settled, she announced, “Bonuses will be doubled, and you’ll all get your paid vacations as promised p>
The cheers grew even louder.
Soon, the team brought out food and drinks they’d ordered earlier for the celebration.
Myron appeared too, carrying a huge cake.
“No party’s complete without cake,” he said with a grin.
He had ordered it first thing that morning.
Millie nodded. “You thought ahead p>
He handed her the knife, and she cut the first slice amid applause.
Everyone shared the cake, laughing and chatting. Millie and Myron took a piece to her office.
Millie sat on the couch and tasted it. It was sweet—so sweet it made her smile.
Her phone buzzed with message after message, but she ignored them for now.
Myron noticed a dab of cream on her lip and wiped it away gently. Then, stealing the moment, he kissed her.
Millie glared at him playfully.
Myron just laughed and took a bite of cake.
