Chapter 1102
Chapter 1102:
“Ah… yes… the meeting,” one of them stammered.
“Right… of course p>
Myron let their discomfort hang in the air for a few beats, clearly enjoying the unease flickering across their faces. Then, with that same placid smile, he turned and left.
Behind him, Mack followed, barely suppressing a grin.
He knew Myron had done it deliberately.
When Myron was gone, the others slowly shuffled out. They exchanged uneasy glances before heading toward the meeting room, reluctant and tense.
In the main conference room, the meeting proceeded as usual—or at least, it appeared to.
Those who had recently been working against Myron sat stiffly in their seats, unable to relax. His calmness frightened them more than open anger would have.
They feared retaliation. Everyone knew Myron might look gentle, but when he struck, it was clean and precise.
Throughout the meeting, they kept bracing for the moment he would mention Millie’s project.
They had already agreed on a story—if he brought it up, they would insist their objection back then was all for the company’s benefit, done with good intentions, out of the kindness of their hearts.
After all, Millie’s project hadn’t been profitable. It had barely broken even.

The others remained seated, drained but strangely unsatisfied. They had spent the entire meeting waiting for a blow that never came.
Relief mixed with embarrassment. Then, predictably, the bickering began.
“I told you not to rush into it,” one muttered. “Look where that got us p>
“You were the one who first said Millie’s project would drag the company down,” another snapped. “We only backed you because we didn’t want our bonuses to suffer p>
They went back and forth, each trying to justify their actions.
Meanwhile, Myron had already returned to his office.
Jayceon was waiting there, lounging comfortably.
“Myron!” he greeted brightly when Myron walked in.
Myron nodded in acknowledgment, and Mack closed the door behind them.
“Why didn’t you give them a proper lesson?” Jayceon asked, half-laughing.
He had come back just to watch Myron put those people in their place, and was disappointed when he hadn’t. These were the same bunch that attacked them when Myron was abroad.
Myron sat down and began flipping through a stack of papers. “It’s not the right time,” he said calmly, not looking at Jayceon.
