The moment Charles stepped inside, his eyes immediately found Trudy, who was sitting at a table with the best view in the restaurant.
“Trudy!” he called out cheerfully, taking the seat across from her.

Charles didn’t mind. He placed the jewelry box in front of her.

“I stopped by the Elliott Group store earlier and saw their new orange-themed accessories. I picked one up for you. Apparently, that cat merch is really popular with girls p>
He had considered buying the trendy charm—humorously modeled after cat testicles—but decided against it, thinking it might be a bit too forward for now. He eventually chose the new cat-ear item. It was cute, and he hoped she liked it.
Trudy lifted the lid, and the jewels glimmered beneath the light—a pair of delicate cat-ear pendants.
“Do you like them?” Charles asked with a hopeful grin. People who gave gifts always wanted a positive reaction, and Charles was no different.

“I haven’t seen Millie today. I was meeting Jayceon at one of his family’s stores, and I saw this there. It reminded me of you instantly. I thought it’d look perfect on your Hermès bag p>
