Celeste’s steps faltered slightly.

Seeing her suddenly stop, Jordyn looked up. “Mom?”

It was just accompanying Jordyn out for some fun. Since Trevor didn’t think there was any issue, there was naturally no reason for her to object.

She had driven there herself. After stepping outside, just as she was about to get into her own car, she heard Trevor say, “Shall I drive?”

They accompanied Jordyn to quite a few stores that caught her interest. She was cheerful the entire time.

When Jordyn went to the restroom, they waited outside. Celeste took out her phone to reply to a message when she suddenly.heard Trevor ask is there really nothing you want to buy?”

Celeste didn’t know why he suddenly started talking to her, but she didn’t look up. While replying to her. message, she simply said, “No.”

Trevor didn’t pursue the topic and instead asked, “Are you going to Fleming Group again tomorrow for a meeting?”

Jordyn was tired, so they went into a restaurant for dinner.
