“It’s a message from Dad,” Jordyn said.

to deal with, so he won’t be coming over to have a meal with us.”

Celeste was momentarily stunned when he suddenly held her hand. But after reacting, she calmly withdrew it and said, “Thank you, I will.”
Miles was usually a very talkative person.
Today, however, he was unusually quiet.
