Trevor had been busy the whole time and didn’t have time to bother with Miles .
After sitting for a while and feeling bored , Miles couldn’t help but say , “ Forget it , I’ll go look for Beck instead . ”
Without even lifting his head , Trevor replied coolly , “ And you thin Beck has time to entertain you ? ”
Miles became speechless .
Just as Trevor predicted , by the time Miles arrived at Harper Corpolation , Beck was indeed busy .

Beck flipped a page in the document and replied , “ I have a blind date at noon . ”

Before Beck could respond , his secretary came in with a bouquet of flowers , looking hesitant .
“ Mr. Harper , these are from that lady from before . I couldn’t reason with her , and I didn’t want to give the delivery guy a hard time … ”
Beck replied indifferently , “ Got it . Deal with the flowers however you want . You can go now . ”

After the secretary left , Miles raised his eyebrows and smiled . “ Nothing happened these past two days , so I thought she’d given
He couldn’t help adding , “ To be honest , that heiress from Hunt Corporation – looks , education , background , personality – she’s supposedly flawless . What exactly is it you don’t like about her ? ”
Beck paused , turned his head to glance at him , and said with clear disdain , “ You came all this way just to gossip ? ”
Miles laughed . “ You’re just figuring that out now ? ”

“ Keep talking and I’ll throw you out . ”
“ No , seriously , ” Miles insisted . “ I’ve met Ms. Hunt myself . She really is great . You’re really not the least bit interested ? ”
Seeing the look Beck gave him , Miles quickly added , “ I just think , well , you’re not exactly young anymore either . It makes sense that your mom is anxious . But if you don’t like this Ms. Hunt , then what kind of woman do you like ? Tell me , I’ll introduce

Beck put down his pen . “ Say one more word and I’ll have someone throw you out . ”

Seeing that Beck was clearly at the end of his patience , Miles decided not to push it further . “ Fine , you’re busy at noon , but surely you’re free for dinner ? ”
“ Not free . ”
“ What ? You’re not actually mad , are you ? “.
Beck paused , then said , “ I’ll be heading over to YodaVision later . I already have plans for the evening . ”
Miles figured Beck meant business – related matters , and probably had dinner with Matthias and the others after the meeting . Since it was official business , he didn’t push further and left feeling bored .

At around 3:00 pm , Beck headed to YodaVision .
When Celeste found out he had arrived , she put down her work and went to meet him .
The moment Beck saw her , he stood up from the sofa almost immliately . “ It’s been a while . ”
Celeste nodded . “ It has . ”
It really had been quite a while since they last saw each other .
Truthfully , this matter didn’t require Beck to come in person . But he made the trip anyway just to see her .
Celeste didn’t expect him to come personally either . Still , she didnt think much of it — just assumed it meant he took their collaboration seriously .
Kieran only found out later that Beck had come to YodaVision .
He happened to need to speak with Celeste urgently and went to the meeting room to find her .
Beck had been smiling and chatting with Celeste , but the moment he saw Kieran walk in , the smile on his face faded noticeably .
Kieran’s gaze toward Beck also carried a hint of coldness .
However , considering Celeste wasn’t officially divorced yet , and that both he and Beck had feelings for her , he figured there was no point in playing the rivalry game for now .
So , he looked away and focused on discussing work with Celeste .
