“ Are you aware of the termination of the contract between VodaVision and InnovaTech ?
“ Your student , Matthias , has become increasingly arrogant and indulgent , unable to distinguish right from wrong because of his obsession with love . Have you noticed this ? ”
Jorge had intended to say these things , but when his eyes caught sight of Trevor , the words suddenly got stuck in
his throat .
These were , after all , matters concerning Wynn .
Now that both Wynn and Trevor were present , Jorge felt that he had no place to speak on the subject .
If he spoke out of turn in front of so many people , it would be equivalent to revealing his thoughts about Wynn to others .
That would cause Wynn unnecessary trouble .
Thinking of this , Jorge noticed Donald standing beside Trevor . He was aware of Donald’s identity .
Now that InnovaTech and YodaVision had signed the termination agreement , and then Wynn and Trevor were having a meal with Donald …
He immediately realized what this meant .
DataWing was indeed the best option for InnovaTech after YodaVision .
Trevor was clearly attentive to Wynn .
Since Wynn had already found a new partner and Matthias ‘ behavior was becoming more erratic , it might be better for Wynn to distance herself from them .
Given this , Jorge felt there was no need to bring up anything with Zachary .
His thoughts turned quickly , and he decided to say , “ It’s nothing , sorry to interrupt . ”
Matthias clearly knew what Jorge had wanted to say .
With a hint of mockery , he smiled and said , “ I thought you were angry and were going to complain to my mentor . ”
Matthias ‘ sarcastic tone made Jorge feel that Matthias was overly smug and unrepentant .
At that moment , Jorge thought that Matthias ‘ situation was worse than he had imagined .
He had once felt that Matthias was somewhat pitiable .
Now , seeing that Matthias was eagerly descending into decadence with Celeste , Jorge thought , why should he stop him ?
With this thought in mind , Jorge didn’t want to say any more to Matthias . He responded dismissively , “ Mr. Yoder, you’re exaggerating . ”
Matthias , uninterested in Jorge , turned to Celeste and Zachary and said , “ Prof , let’s go . ”
Celeste nodded and said to Zachary , “ Prof , this way . ”
When Jorge and Wynn heard Celeste address Zachary as “ Prof , ” they assumed she was shamelessly following Matthias ‘ lead .
Even so , they were still a bit displeased , feeling that by calling Zachary “ Prof , ” Celeste was tarnishing his reputation .
Matthias and Celeste were heading back to the office .
So , after Zachary left in his car , Matthias remarked , “ Jorge is such an idiot . I regret ever cooperating with him just because I wanted to show Theodore respect . The thought of continuing to work with him makes my head hurt . ”
Celeste rubbed her temples and said , “ Should we have Mr. Lockridge handle him in the future ? ”
Matthias responded , “ Yes , please ! ”
Celeste smiled , and they both headed back to the office .
As they exited the elevator and were about to enter the company , her phone rang .
It was a call from Trevor .
But Celeste didn’t answer .
Seeing her sudden change in expression , Matthias guessed who was on the other end of the line .
After the phone stopped vibrating , Celeste was about to discuss tomorrow’s work arrangements with Matthias when a new message notification popped up on her phone .
It was from Trevor .
“ I’m going on a business trip tomorrow . Jo wants to stay with you . Can you take care of her during the May Day holiday ? ”
After reading the message , Matthias scoffed and said , “ Just like during the Ember Festival , he can’t go on a business trip without bringing Wynn along . But he wants you to look after Jordyn so he can spend time alone with Wynn ? ”
