Chapter 711
Quentin picked up his phone, intending to call Wynn. But after a moment’s hesitation, he didn’t dial her number.
His gaze returned to the computer screen after setting the phone down. His expression turned cold once more as he read through the flood of praise for Celeste online.
Celeste had no time to concern herself with what others were thinking. She had accepted an interview with a major media outlet that very afternoon.
After the interview, she saw a message from Jordyn when she checked her phone.
“Grandpa and Grandma are back. Dad said I should go to the manor for dinner tonight. I’m already on the way.”
Celeste replied casually, “Okay.”
Celeste’s interview was released that night, and it had even made it onto national news.
When the broadcast aired, the Fleming family had just finished dinner and were sitting in the living room, chatting while having fruit.
By now, the Fleming family, including Martha, who usually paid little attention to such affairs, had heard something about Celeste’s work at YodaVision.
So, they were all well aware of the buzz around her newly published paper.
The only one who didn’t really understand any of this was Jordyn.
She knew that her mother had gone for an interview that morning, but she had no idea why. She only half-understood the news.
However, she could clearly tell that the host kept praising Celeste. Her eyes lit up at that.
“Wow! Mom is amazing! Is she really that incredible?”
There were still some skeptical voices about Celeste online, and Teagan and Queenie were aware of thepa Se, neither of the
responded
when they heard Jordyn’s words.
Tucker, however, had already sent Celeste a congratulatory message earlier that morning. Now, he pulled Jordyn into his arms and gave her cheek a playful pinch.
“Of course! Your mom is super amazing!”
Jordyn beamed and grabbed her phone before saying, “I’m going to call Mom!”
As the TV was a little loud, she walked off to the side to make the call.
Watching her leave, Teagan said, “I heard Celeste already published three papers. She should have a shot at most of the major Al awards this year with all these high impact papers, right?”
That question was directed at Trevor.
He gave a brief nod. “If nothing unexpected happens, her chances are very high.”
Teagan and Queenie still weren’t entirely sure whether Celeste truly possessed that level of ability. But if she did, her future would be limitless.
Teagan then said coldly, “Seems that we really underestimated her.”
Trevor and Queenie said nothing.
Martha, however, disagreed. She was genuinely delighted to see Celeste doing so well in her career.
She said firmly, “Cel has always
been outstanding. She was excellent
in her studies before too. If she
hadnt given up her major back then, she wouldve won awards long age!”
Teagan rolled her eyes. “Grandma, you’re overthinking it.”
In her view, Celeste had only reached this point because of Matthias. Without him, there was no way Celeste could’ve come this far.
