Chapter 820

Zeke didn’t expect there had been such a history between Wynn and Celeste. Furthermore, Celeste was actually Zachary’s student as well.

Just as he was thinking about this, Martha’s call came in.

Celeste went back to sleep for a while and didn’t wake up until after one in the afternoon.

There were still some matters to take care of at YodaVision. So, after eating a quick meal, she headed back to the company.

Matthias had just arrived as well.

Zachary called after a while and asked them to go to the Jennings residence for dinner that evening.

When they arrived at the Jennings residence, Caleb came out to greet them. “You’re here. Come on in.”

Celeste nodded.

Caleb exchanged a few pleasantries with them. “I heard something happened at YodaVision. Is everything okay?”

Out of courtesy, Caleb directed the question at both Celeste and Matthias.

Matthias merely raised an eyebrow and said nothing. Celeste had no choice but to answer, “It’s fine. Everything’s pretty much been taken care of.”

Once they entered, they found that Zachary had already arrived. Jorge was there as well.

The moment he saw them, Jorge looked over first. But Matthias and Celeste acted as though he didn’t exist.

They first greeted Harold, Harry, and Caleb’s mother, Nyla Featherstone, before obediently turning toward Zachary. “Prof.”

Zachary nodded and hummed an acknowledgement.

Just then, Theodore arrived as well. He smiled. “Everyone’s here?”

Caleb said, “Mr. Robinson, have a seat.”

Celeste and Matthias greeted him as well.

Jorge was the last to speak. “Dad.”

It was as though Theodore had only just noticed that he was there. “Oh? You got here early too.”

Jorge was speechless.

After the banquet the previous night, he had called Theodore as well, but couldn’t get through. He had then sent him a message, but still hadn’t received a reply.

Theodore was always busy with official duties, so Jorge hadn’t thought much of it at first. But Caleb had called him that afternoon and told him that Celeste, Matthias Zachary, and his father would all be having dinner at the Jennings residence that evening Theodore had asked Caleb to invite him as well.

That was when he realized that his father had definitely seen his message a long time ago. He was just deliberately ignoring him.

Theodore paid no further attention to his son. After sitting down, he began chatting with Harold, Celeste, and the others.

After talking for a while, everyone moved to the dining room for dinner.

Caleb took the seat beside Celeste.

Once the dishes had been served and everyone began another round of conversation, Caleb turned the lazy Susan and said to Celeste, remember you really like braised duck This is Nora’s specialty są specifically asked her to make it. It’s really good. Give it a try.”

Caleb remembered this because the cafeteria at the military base had a signature braised duck dish. Whenever Celeste saw it, she would always order it. Caleb had taken note of that.

Everyone else looked over when they heard that.

Matthias and Jorge both knew that Caleb had feelings for Celeste. What they hadn’t expected was that he didn’t even try to hide his feelings in front of the elders instead, be openly showed his affection for Celeste in front of everyone.

Harold and Theodore were stunned, seemingly unsure whether they had picked up

on something. Zachary acted as though he hadn’t noticed anything and quietly continued eating.

Celeste paused for a moment before saying, “Thank you.”

No one else commented on it, and they continued chatting and eating.

After dinner, it started raining.

Celeste was looking out at the rain when Jorge came over and sat down beside her. When Celeste turned and saw him, she didn’t say anything.

Just like Miles, Jorge had sent someone to Youtopia to investigate the previous night. He now knew for certain that everything said at the banquet about the Lockets and Shaws was true.

He looked at her and said, “About what happened in the past… I was in the wrong. I’m sorry.”
