Chapter 818

Before the Lockets and Shaws even had time to react, court officials arrived and began sealing off the company’s servers and source code.

There was quite a commotion at Locket Tech, and it didn’t take long for news of the Locket family’s troubles to spread.

Miles and Beck received the news soon after. They hadn’t been in contact with Trevor since the previous night.

They already knew about everything that had been posted online after the banquet, and now something like this had happened to the Locket family…

Miles said, “In this situation, it’d be difficult for Trevor to step in and help, wouldn’t it?”

If Trevor helped the Locket family now and word got out, the public backlash would only become even more explosive.

Beck said, “Yeah.”

Miles couldn’t help asking, “Do you think… This could have been done by Celeste?”

After all, YodaVision and Velotra had a very close business relationship.

Something like this had happened at the banquet the night before, and then the Locket family’s company ran into trouble right afterward. It seemed like too much of a coincidence.

Whoever was behind it had even anticipated that Trevor wouldn’t be in a position to intervene.

Beck hesitated for a moment before shaking his head. “I don’t know.”

After the banquet the previous night, Miles had actually sent someone to Youtopia to investigate. By now, he was certain that everything Matthias had said about the Lockets and Shaws was true.

Miles couldn’t help asking, “What do you think Trevor is thinking?”

Although he asked the question, he felt that Trevor probably wouldn’t break up with Wynn because of what had happened the previous night.

Beck just hummed. He felt the same way.

Miles fell silent.

After a while, he sent Trevor a message. “Do you need Beck and me to help?”

By “help,” he naturally meant not only the predicament Trevor was currently facing, but also the situation involving the Locket family.

…

Celeste slept for about three hours before waking up.

Matthias and Ivan told her about the trouble that had hit the Locket family’s company.

Celeste was somewhat surprised.

Matthias said, “A lot of people outside are speculating that this has something to do with us.”

Celeste had already guessed that people would think that. But she said nothing. Matthias continued, “I made some inquiries with Velotra. Apparently, Trevor still hasn’t personally stepped in to help the Locket family.”

Celeste then said calmly, “It wouldn’t be appropriate for him to step in personally right now.”

Matthias pursed his lips. “That’s what I thought too. And the Fleming family is probably stopping him as well.”

Although Trevor hadn’t defended Wynn at the banquet the previous night, he had known about the history between Celeste and the Lockets and Shaws for a long time.

He knew everything, yet he had still loved Wynn without hesitation. Matthias didn’t believe Trevor would give up on Wynn Simply because of what had happened the previous night.

Now that the Locket family was in trouble and he still hadn’t stepped in, he was probably just waiting for the right opportunity to act. It didn’t necessarily mean that he had truly given up on Wynn. ‘FindNovel.net

After finishing her conversation with Matthias, Celeste exited the call and saw an unread message from Hannah.

“Jo fell asleep last night, but she was still feeling down. Mrs. Fleming, if you have time, why don’t you give Jo a call and talk to her?”

After reading the message, Celeste checked her phone. Jordyn hadn’t messaged her or called her.

Even so, Celeste still called Jordyn.

The phone rang for a while, but no one answered.

Celeste called twice more. When there was still no answer, she had no choice but to

hang up.
