At Queenie’s words, her expression darkened. She said coldly, “Cel hasn’t brought up divorce herself all this time out of consideration for the longstanding friendship between our two families. You’d better remember that!
“When the two of you officially divorce, you’d better treat Cel with respect. And whatever compensation she’s entitled to, make sure she receives every bit of it!”
“I know,” Trevor replied.
“Hmph!”
Seeing that the grandmother and grandson were genuinely starting to fall out, Lincoln changed the subject and steered the conversation away from Trevor and Celeste.
Around noon, Miles called Trevor. “What are your plans for tonight?”
“I’m keeping my grandma company.”
“You’re spending the whole day at the manor with her? You’re not going out?”
Trevor answered, “No.”
Miles fell silent. Seriously? He and Wynn had no plans at all?
Of course, he kept that last question to himself. “Fine. I’ll find something to do on my own, then.”
After hanging up, Trevor returned and continued chatting with Lincoln and the rest of the family.
Meanwhile, Celeste was also busy answering calls.
On the other end of the line, Kieran asked about her plans as well.
“I’m not planning to go out tonight. I’m going to stay home and spend the evening with my family,” Celeste replied.
Kieran knew she was being honest, but also understood that she was turning him down. “All right, then… Happy Harvest Moon Festival.”

After hanging up, Celeste glanced at the living room, where gift boxes were piled everywhere, and rubbed her temples.
Among them were gifts from Beck, Kieran, and Caleb. Jorge had also sent over a gift box.
Adeline pointed towards several more boxes piled to one side. “These are from Jo. She had someone deliver them and said she’d specially ordered them.”
Celeste was taken aback. She walked over to take a look and discovered that each box had Jordyn’s name on it. Yet Jordyn hadn’t mentioned any of this to her.
Still, Celeste understood. These were probably Jordyn’s way of returning the favour.
Looking at her, Adeline said, “Jo went to the trouble of having those pies specially made. It shows she cares.”
Betty said nothing. But she knew Adeline was trying to comfort Celeste.
Ever since Philip’s banquet, Jordyn hadn’t visited the Rodriguez residence again, and her relationship with Celeste had grown increasingly distant.
To them, Jordyn knew what the Locket family had done to the Rodriguez family, yet she continued to side with Wynn. They were disappointed and hurt by this. But, they also knew that the person hurting the most was Celeste herself.
That was why they had rarely brought up Jordyn in front of her lately.
Now, seeing Jordyn suddenly send Celeste so many boxes of pies, they felt that the
girl still had a place in her heart for Celeste. They were happy for Celeste, too.
