Chapter 736
Rosetta:
It was honestly hilarious to watch everything unfold on the livestream.
The fact that Graham thought assaulting women was his only crime, as if it were nothing and he would simply be forgiven, was insane.
He had admitted to killing an old woman and summoning the monster.
Had he forgotten about that? Had he forgotten about all his other crimes?
I sat in front of the TV, watching it all happen.
Even Elgin’s announcement before he left was being broadcast.
He told everyone he was taking them to my royal garden, where they would meet
the new royal heir, his new Luna, and his daughter.
I turned to Elara and gently ran my hand through her hair.
“Are you ready, kiddo?” I asked.
She smiled proudly.
I had not convinced Elara to ask Elgin to be her father.
She did not deserve a father like that.
Her father was Baxter, the Baxter who had passed away, and I did not think anyone else could ever replace him.
After today, I’d get to meet my sister. I’d tell her everything.
I was truly excited about it. Seeing her on that stage with so much confidence filled me with happiness.
“Hello?” I answered, lifting the phone to my ear.
“Let them come in,” I told the warrior after he informed me that Madeline, Ron, and Nala had arrived.
They had come to hide and watch the whole scene unfold.
I quickly straightened my dress and stood, taking a few deep breaths.
A watchtower overlooked the grounds, where everything was being livestreamed.
That was where Madeline would stay hidden for now.
We had to bring Elgin down carefully because, despite everything, there were not many major confessions against him.
That was the main problem.
There were enough to overthrow him, but I still wanted everything to go perfectly.
Keeping Madeline inside the mansion could also be dangerous, so she would stay farther away in the watchtower.
“What the fuck is going on, Rosetta?” my mother screamed as she stormed downstairs.
Calling her my mother was unfair. Wait until she found out I was not even her daughter.
I turned to her and gestured for her not to go near Elara.
“Oh, I don’t fucking care!” she yelled.
Elara immediately jumped off the couch and ran behind me.
I stepped in front of her to protect her.
This was the first time they had seen each other since arriving here.
“You’re becoming a council leader?” she asked, probably because she had
overheard me speaking loudly on the phone. “And you’re marrying Elgin? What the
fuck is going on? Why the hell is everyone getting arrested?”
Lady Eugenia was screaming at the top of her lungs.
She wanted Madeline downfall for apparently no fucking reason.
It was as though she was so

She never realized Baxter had escaped her only because of Madeline.
Little did she know, the prophecy had come true.
Sadly, her son had endured a difficult life because her daughter had never survived.
In that sense, the seer had been right.
“There’s a lot more happening.
Please go upstairs. Elgin and the et
others are arriving right now,” I said calmly, dismissing her with a wave of my hand.
She looked stunned by my behavior.
Thankfully, Byron had already gone downstairs.
I could not afford to have him constantly watching me.
He wanted to see everything for himself before, believing I wasom their side, so I had shown him I everything that had happened on the TV.
He had been satisfied and, thankfully, left before Lady Eugenia arrived.
A knock sounded at the door, and Lady Eugenia immediately rushed upstairs.
She even slipped and probably sprained her ankle, but she still made it to the second floor.
I was not sure how much longer she was going to survive, but that was no longer my concern.
I walked over to the door and opened it.
Elgin stood there with his mother.
Outside, the crowd was beginning to gather in the garden.
Everyone craned their necks, trying to see who his new Luna was going to be.
“Baby,” Elgin said, holding out his hand to me.
I slipped my hand into his and turned to Elara.
“Come on, little angel,” I said.
She immediately hurried over and took my hand.
I could tell Elgin was proud of how well I had trained Elara.
As we stepped onto the porch, I noticed the crowd was growing larger.
Night was beginning to fall, and the cameras were still following us.
I walked through the crowd until I reached a small raised platform and turned to face everyone.
“Our new council leader is none other than Luna Rosetta,” Elgin announced, pointing at me.
I smiled as everyone bowed to me.
“And I have an heir, this little angel right here,” Elgin said, pointing to Elara.
Elara gently slipped her hand from mine and walked over to Elgin.
He quickly knelt to hug her.
However, Elara had been taught by me, and she had learned well.
The moment she reached him, she raised her little hand and, with all the strength
she could muster, smacked him across the cheek.
