Chapter 735
Elgin:
The day had not gone the way I had expected.
At first, I thought it was going to be interesting, but now I was honestly getting scared.
When Graham started to protest, warriors arrived to arrest him.
He threw a full tantrum, calling for Madeline and screaming, asking how she could
do that to him, even though it was obvious why she had.
At the same time, I noticed Madeline, Ron, and Nala slipping away.
I did not stop them, even though I saw them leave.
I let them go because Madeline had a surprise waiting for her at the cabin.
Still, for a few seconds, I was honestly confused, thinking she was actually going to marry Graham.
Of course, I should have known better.
Madeline was stubborn and stern. She would never do that.
Not only was I going to get my hands on Madeline, but since she had taken Kaylee with her, I would get my claws on her too.
I would punish her the way I wanted until she screamed in pain for the rest of her life.
For now, Graham was being taken away.
I also ordered the warriors to remove Silver along with the screen because
something else could be played on it at any moment.
After the crowd dispersed and the stage was cleared, I was once again left alone.
“Where did she go?” somebody yelled, asking about Madeline.
“What about our children?” another person cried.
I gestured for them to calm down.
“I promise you I’ll find a cure,” I said with a smirk because now they would start talking about me as the Alpha King.
Of course, I knew there were still steps we had to take.
The council members arrived. They now had only one council leader, my mother.
The second would be Rosetta, and soon we would choose the third as well.
“We would like to move on to the next matter we had planned for today. However, the way events have unfolded has left us at a loss for words.”
One of the council members stepped forward while the others stood behind him. He was speaking on behalf of them all.
I nodded to him.
“We’re truly sorry about your mates. Hopefully, you’ll find someone loyal,” the council member said and I shrugged.
Once again, everyone was looking at me as though I was a victim too.
My mother had taught me to treat women right, and they had taken advantage of
me.
Poor me.
Of course, nobody seemed to care that Madeline had shown up and left.
I had promised them I would take care of it, and they seemed to believe me now
because they had no one else to trust.
“However, Alpha King, we have to
ask you about something that has been bothering us,” the council member said. “You rule over so many packs, but you don’t have an heir.”

As the council member spoke, I gave him a reassuring smile.
I understood that, as the Alpha King, I needed an heir. Otherwise, it would all be pointless.
“Actually,” I said, turning to face the crowd, “I do have an heir.”
Before the council members could remind me that I had withdrawn my rights from
her, I continued, “She’s ready to accept me.”
At that, everyone looked relieved. It was as though something had finally gone right.
“Where is she? Why didn’t you bring her here?” the council member asked.
I shrugged, putting on a sad expression.
“Did you not see what happened? I’m so glad I didn’t bring my daughter here. I’m very cautious about how she’s raised I said, placing a hand on my chest.
“But it’s fine. We’re taking this event to another pack, where
refreshments are already prepared for all of you. There, you’ll not only meet my future Luna, but also the Council leader and my daughter.”
As I finished speaking, everyone finally seemed happy. At last, something was going
right.
The council members looked hopeful, and my mother was smiling as well.
At that point, only a few of us were still standing. I kept my eyes on Mathew because
I had a few things to ask him.
“So, without further ado, let’s begin our journey. It’s not very far,” I said, watching everyone stare at us in confusion.
I had meticulously arranged a venue right next to Rosetta’s territory.
She oversaw a massive pack. In fact, the entire forest stretched across her lands,
and somehow she kept it all under her control.
She owned multiple packs, but to be honest, she never visited any of them.
I walked out with my mother and got into the car, taking a deep breath.
“For a moment, I was scared,” my mother said.
I nodded, letting her know I had felt the same way.
Watching everyone get exposed had been frightening.
Then again, we had nothing to fear. We had done nothing wrong.
