Chapter 739
Elgin:
“Well, I watched my mother kill Lady Abigail.”
My confession drew a gasp from my mother.
Even Kaylee looked shocked in the video.
“Really? Tell me what happened.”
Kaylee sat up in bed, looking excited as the sheet slipped down her chest.
Everyone was now watching us naked while listening to the ugliest confessions imaginable.
“The monster attacked. My mother arrived. Lady Abigail was right outside our window, begging us to open the door. But my mother had to take her place. So we watched the monster kill her, then we went home and celebrated.”
I sounded so unhinged that there was no room for anyone to doubt my guilt.
Even Lord John had reacted with more restraint when Silver confessed to killing Lord Williams.
The video continued.
I laughed about my plans to take Madeline by force.
I talked about how I had treated my daughter.
I admitted I was planning to kill Hailey, Hannah, and Silver so they could never return to my life.
Some of the things I said were simply because I was drunk on power.
I even talked about killing anyone who dared stand against me.
“This is bullshit!” I screamed, lunging for the phone.
Before I could reach it, a warrior punched me in the nose, sending blood pouring down my face.
“This fucker gave Lord John a speech about being cold and heartless because he didn’t care that his daughter had killed a council leader!” someone in the crowd yelled.
“And look at this bitch!” a woman screamed, pointing at my mother.
She shoved her way through the crowd and clawed at my mother’s face while my mother tried to defend herself.
I immediately rushed toward them.
But the warriors restrained me.
“Well, as the only council leader still standing, I sentence Elgin and his mother to the same punishment as Graham. They will be placed in the same cell for the rest of their lives.”
Rosetta looked me straight in the eye.
In that moment, I realized she had never fucking loved me.
“Rosetta, I was going to marry you despite you being a cursed woman,” I said through heavy breaths.
Tears streamed down my face as the warriors grabbed me as though I were some kind of criminal.
I was not. Whatever I had done, I had done out of my love for power.
“You played me!” I shouted.
Rosetta rolled her eyes, shook her head, and let out a deep breath.
“I didn’t. You’re the one who played everyone while harassing me,” she replied.
She had known everything.
That’s when I realized the truth.
This entire event had been planned by her.
She was the one who had planted the idea in my head that I needed to reject Silver
and divorce her in front of everyone.
She had encouraged me every step of the way.
That was why it never mattered to her whom I chose to marry.
She had been more than happy to watch every marriage I planned fall apart.
“My daughter. I have a daughter who will take care of her!” I yelled as they began dragging me away.
The way the female council members were dragging my mother and slapping her across the face was humiliating.
“Like you ever cared!” someone shouted from the crowd.
My eyes found Mathew.
I dug my heels into the ground, refusing to let the warriors drag me away because I
needed to speak to him.
“Did you do it?” I asked.
“Were you with her?” I asked again, referring to Rosetta.
Mathew glanced at Rosetta before stepping closer to me, his hands bound behind his back.
“You’re absolutely right. I’m the one
who exposed the truth about you to everyone,” Mathew said carefully, making sure not to admit that they had planned everything together.
At that point, it did not even matter anymore.
No matter what anyone said, I had already confessed everything on the screen.
“And while you’re being dragged away, I want to admit one more thing,” Mathew murmured with a pout.
Then he stepped closer and leaned in to whisper in my ear.
“I was the one fucking your Luna, Your Highness.”
There was so much sarcasm in his voice that my body froze from the betrayal.
“She brought me into your life, and we fucked while you were away
Working Not only that
Hannah are my daughters
When he finished, he pulled back, tilted his head, smiled at me proudly, and shrugged.
“And you know what? I’m not even
going to accept her. I’m not even et
going to cry over her It sennet
already found someone
Mathew spoke with open insolence, making my eyes widen as my heart sank into the deepest pit of hell.
“No! You can’t drag me away! This bastard needs to be put down!” I screamed over and over, but the warriors dragged me away.
