Wynn was in a good mood as well. “My conversation with him was interrupted halfway through. But from what he said, it shouldn’t be a problem,” she said with a smile.

Linda nearly burst with excitement the moment Wynn finished speaking. “Ah! I knew it! I knew you could do it, Wynn!”

She hadn’t truly understood what it meant to become Philip’s personal student before.

Ruby finally let out a sigh of relief. “Exactly.”

Standing nearby, Quentin watched the smiles on the faces of Wynn and her family.

His own expression darkened as he watched the hope and anticipation they held for the future, his fingers tightening around the wine glass in his hand.

A short while later, Wynn and her family walked away.

Quentin didn’t know the reason, but he followed quietly. Soon, he realized they were heading toward Trevor. There were some of the biggest names in both the business and academic worlds surrounding him.

Just as Wynn and her family reached the group, Philip came downstairs and joined the group as well after changing his clothes.

around Trevor all knew of Wynn, few of them knew about her parents. The guests greeted them politely and exchanged business cards with them out of respect for Trevor and Philip.

Afterward, Trevor and the others resumed the conversation they had been having earlier. Harvey and Lilian remained with the group as well.
